Tucked away in the northeast corner of Tennessee (and in fact overlapping into Virginia), Bristol is best known for two great Southern traditions: NASCAR and country music. Bristol Motor Speedway regularly draws well over 100,000 fans on race days, and numerous museums, landmarks, and festivals celebrate Bristol’s heritage as the “Birthplace of Country Music.” And although old-timey music takes center stage most of the time, the local performing arts scene is fairly diverse, incorporating theater, ballet, and more contemporary music. Of course, the city’s location makes it very easy to get out of your Bristol rental and explore the forests, lakes, and mountains of the region at your leisure.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Deer Run Apartments
AWFUL - two of our windows had paint all over them from when they very terribly painted, some people could have pets and others couldn't, cheap flooring, doors came off hinges all the time, feral cats all over the place, "put a bandaid on it" maintenance crew, etc. The cheap vinyl flooring in our kitchen was bubbled up and had literally just been put over whatever sort of tile is under. Our disposal did not work the entire time we were there and we had to get a new refrigerator as soon as we moved in because it was missing shelves. We also had to get a new oven and it didn’t fit well so a drawer in the kitchen couldn’t even be opened. There was a large hole that looked like some animal chewed out of one of the cabinets that Rock noticed and said he would get fixed and never did. The carpet was too thick for the doors and we had to put so much effort into just closing a door (which is probably part of the reason the closet doors wouldn’t open properly). There was always a sketchy looking van full of stuff parked next to the apartments that made me worry for my safety. The microwave had a large crack in it from the last person that maintenance literally put caulk over… yes, a PLASTIC microwave. When you drive in, it refers to the apartments as “luxury” apartments… HA. Very outdated and way too much money for the quality. Upon move out you have to steam clean your carpets, which we did, and they literally were so disgusting I cleaned them twice. There is no way they were cleaned before. We were very good and very clean tenants that paid our overpriced rent on time every month and got treated like crap. Also, good luck on getting your security deposit back. There are much better places to live and when Bristol has its upcoming housing surge of new living, this place will be toast and we will move back to Bristol closer to work to a way better place.
My apartment is great. There are a lot of older people here so it's pretty quiet. I'm paying more here than I was at my last place, $625 for a one bedroom, but it's also a lot nicer than my last place. Only issue I had was a leaking faucet and they fixed it the next day. My place has a back door with a deck that looks out over a creek and some woods which is great cause it doesn't feel like I'm in an apartment. Parking is good. Pool is clean. They have a playground and a basketball court, but I hardly ever see anyone use them. Overall good place.
In my opinion, lived there for two years....The deer run apartments staff (jennifer and Kim and Lori) is horrible as of the end of 2015 to present ......they say they will return your deposit but they dont ....they make up ever reason not to .....they feed u one lie after another lie .....For instance i have been waiting 4 months on my deposit and was told it got sent to wrong address....now im being told we r not getting our deposit back ...so we have to take them to court ......so dont move to these apts. ! ( The good reviews on this page was done by the apt staff )
The apartments are nice. The staff is amazing and super friendly. It's overall a good place to live.
