Property Ratings at de Tolosa Ranch Apartments
Very disappointing experience. We never agreed to the charge added to our account, and management refused to let us speak with the main office to resolve it. On top of that, the charge was added almost three months after the date of the issue they’re claiming, which makes it feel unfair and unreliable. Worst of all, when we paid our monthly rent and utilities, the system administrator took the money for the disputed charge without our permission or any notification, even though we had clearly stated we were disputing it. This lack of transparency and respect toward tenants is unacceptable. Tenants deserve honest communication and fair treatment, not surprises and denied information.
I love living here! The grounds are beautiful, and my apartment is very spacious and modern. It's wonderful they allow pets. Management is very attentive; the same goes for the maintenance team. I would highly recommend living at this complex. I have no complaints.
The management over the past year has been awful. When we moved in, the apartment was dirty, which I noted with the person when filling out the move in form. We are now being charged over $1000 in "cleaning" and painting costs for stuff that was not caused while we lived there. The internet regularly went out, which was a problem as I worked from home. Also, in general the property was much more expensive than what it was worth.

I love this community because of all of the amenities and layout. I lived here for several years in a downstairs studio. It was the most spacious and well appointed studio I've ever lived in. It even had a dishwasher and full size fridge! I loved the separation between the living area and bedroom area. The bathroom was so spacious and had great storage space. My neighbors were great. The gym has been updated laying out by the pool a huge benefit. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Love that they are pet friendly I saw the cutest dogs here. Great job DTR it really is the best community in SLO.
The location is ideal and the maintenance people are friendly and prompt. However our stay was not pleasent to say the least. we were made to pay for unfair charges and the management interfered unwantedly while living. I would not suggest this place.
The apartments are nice but some upkeep and maintenance is lacking. Office staff are not the friendliest and act like they are doing you a favor. I will look for another place when my lease expires.

I have lived in the De Tolosa Ranch apartments for 2 years now, and I am very happy there. The grounds are well kept all year long, the pool and jacuzzi are wonderful and not usually crowded, and there is a security company that patrols the parking lot each night giving a feeling of even more security. The apartment manager is always quick to respond to requests, in fact, things I have requested are usually taken care of with in 24 hours. There is always plenty of parking, but to get covered parking, you have to pay an extra $25. Over all, it is a ver safe, clean, and quiet community, close to shopping and the freeway, and I am very happy living there.
