Property Ratings at Crown Villas Apartments
I lived in Crown Villas for a year. I found the out dated finishings and appliances an ok compromise for the cheap rent. However, I didn't know I would also have to bargain the cheap rent with horrible customer service. The leasing manager starts up verbal wars at the drop of a hat. She is quick to catch an attitude and my question is why? I consider myself to be a good tenant by paying my rent on time, No parties or loud guests and stay to myself. Yet she seems to have a bad attitude every time I speak to her. The apartments are ok. There was a huge red stain on the carpet when I moved in that they told me. "We'll make sure you are not charged for that when you move out" instead of giving me new carpet or having the stain removed. The maintenance men are messy and even damaged my property one time. Which the manager caught an attitude with me when I reported it. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this place to my friends. Yes the rent is cheap but you're paying for it in other ways.
The first year I moved to Crown Villa was in 2007 and I stayed until 2012. I moved to their second property, Tabby Villa, to be closer to my family. My family has since moved to Stockbridge GA so I decided to move back to Crown Villa in June of this year (2015). Liz, the manager is awesome, very helpful and accommodating. Her new assistant, Courtney is very friendly and helpful. John, the maintenance guy, gets the job done in a timely fashion. I love the fact they pest control every month and the property is very well maintained. The green grass, ahh, just takes my breath away! I feel I am at home and have no intentions of moving unless I decide to re-marry. Very close to highway, that gets you to the mall, restaurants, banks, etc.
Not expensive, quiet neighborhood, small salt water pool, no pets allowed. If you have small kids, the playground is falling apart. The set up inside the apartment is very dated. Small den when you open the door, galley kitchens, Decent living room in the back. The counters are not level. All cabinetry is awful. Most is crooked, drawers are not level, and really ugly cheap looking wood. The shiny wood stain makes it look zebra stripped. Honestly only 15 minutes from Southside Savannah (10 from the base) and 20 minutes from the Airport or Downtown. It has pros and cons, but for the price, and being quiet, not too bad. I have been here 2 years so far. Will be here a few more years.
Quiet place, lovely property mangers, anything that is broken gets fix immediately. I honestly could live her forever. I wish we could buy the townhomes. Its in perfect location from the interstate and local malls and stores.
