Apartment Reviews at Crossings at One
On the first meeting I was positively impressed by the energy of Lorin and the other office personnel. The apartments were in awesome condition. The online portal was great as well.
Just Moved in here
I just moved into this nice, cozy one bedroom apartment. Have no issues till date. Must mention about the leasing office staff here. Amy had been very attentive and proactive in all my dealings with her. She even emailed me before I could move to see the apartment that was renovated.
Recently moved - clean and modern 1 bedroom
My girlfriend and I recently moved here. The apartment is recently renovated with a clean, modern look with new appliances. The staff has been quick and responsive to any concerns. The location is conveniently close to the parkway and a number of shopping centers. The girlfriend was particularly thrilled with Wegmans nearby.
Lived here for 3 years
The apartments are decent size however most buildings have roaches in their apartment. You can call to have someone come out and put some sticky paper and some gel however it doesn't work. They haven't done anything to completely take care of the problem and it's been 3 years now. I have friends who also have the same issue here. Gross... Can't wait to move. They are pretty expensive Ns you deal with this! Also rent goes up every year by $50.00 its ridiculous thieves they are!! The only good thing I can say is that their Maintance office are very helpful
I have lived here for the past 6 years, anytime I have had an issue it was always taken care of right away. The maintenance team and company staff are very kind and approachable, always willing to help or lend a hand. The property manager Frank Campisi, is a great person who is always willing to go out of his way to answer any questions or help in anyway possible. The Crossings at One is a great place to live, quiet and friendly neighborhood for kids and pets.
I have a few friends who live here and all have really great apartments that are very well appointed. Whenever I visit I'm always impressed because it seems like management is always making improvements. The outside has a nice community feeling and the lobbies and hallways are always immaculate. One of the best amenities is the on site site security and the proximity to the major highways, shopping and restaurants is an added bonus. I know where I'll be looking when my current lease is up.
Long time satisfied tenant
Have lived in the complex for 7 years now and am very pleased with the property. Management has been very helpful and responsive over the years whenever something has come up. Have had very minimal issues over the time, no different than owning a home. Have also noticed significant aesthetic upgrades over the past year that have definitely spruced up the property. Security patrols in the overnight hours which are very helpful with the high traffic area the property is in right on Route 1. Shows that management cares about their tenants.
Love our home!
I have lived at this property since 2012. It was a great place to live then and it's an even better place to live now. Since the new management company took over this property there have been numerous improvements. The grounds are safe, quiet, and very clean. We can do many things online now like pay rent and make maintenance requests. The property manager is on site and the maintenance and office staff is always available, thorough, and professional. They are making tons of renovations on apartments, they are also renovating the outside of the buildings as well. Of course it does get loud once in a while but all the construction is done during the week and during normal business hours. The landscaping and walking paths/trails are well lit and great for working out. I would absolutely recommend making The Crossings at One your new home!
I love it
This is by far the best apartment that you can choose to live in this area, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment in building 16 since the crossing at one bought it 2 years ago, the maintenance service is just awesome!! I almost never had to call Then because a issue but when I did it they were here in less than at hour. They keep everything always very clean and the staff is way to friendly and their service is always with the best attitude. I love my neighbors they are very friendly as well and I never have problem because noise, this is a great place to call home, yo just have to pay your rent and don’t worry about nothing else. The only bill that I pay is electric, and sometimes my bill is not bigger than $25 dollars! Always parking space available, never garbage on the floor, summer time we can do bbq! I even have my bbq in the huge back yard that we have. I celebrated my baby’s first birthday there and it was beautiful. Jacky from the management office is very helpful when you have a question or you need any kind of help about the apartment.
Lovely Place to be called Home!
Lovely place to be.Management and Maintenance team is very helpful and supportive! Easy and quick service, smooth transactions for everything. Had a great experience staying here!!
WONDERFUL PLACE TO CALL HOME!
I usually don't write reviews however I couldn't help myself on this one. I moved into Crossing at One in Fords, NJ during the summer of 2017. I moved into a newly renovated unit. From the kitchen-to-bathroom & bedroom everything in my apartment was NEW and very professionally finished. The community is also going thru a similar transition. They're investing heavily into beautifying the landscape, upgrading facilities & pavement. There is also a "country club" that is in plans to be built and would add tremendous value to the residents. Best yet, in my opinion, the management team does a fabulous job informing the tenants of any activity (pavement, maintenance, etc.) around the community well in advance. I know that has helped me better plan. . I truly couldn't be more happier living at Crossing at One. I think the management team is investing in all the right areas, their truly adding value and enriching the quality of offerings. I would recommend anyone that is looking to consider this place.
Lovely place to stay with kids. A lot of space and huge park beside the community for kids to play outside during summer and lot of good people staying around. Never got a problem with services. Management responds quickly to any complaints or concerns.
A Community That Cares And A Great Place To Call Home!!!!
I will always be grateful for the place I call home!!! I moved into the community at a stressful point in my life. I moved in as a newly single mom. When I moved in they had a special going on no security deposit. Which made things that much easier on me not having much money at the time.I got much more than that. Over the years I made not only friends but family. The maintenance workers are awesome. They are professional and friendly. They are trustworthy which now in this world is hard to come by. The property manager Frank is easy to talk to and very understanding. One of my most favorite memories is that they had a party in the lobby for an older couple that was so thoughtful and touching. Also the pool is great. My daughter and I spent many summer days relaxing together there. They really are successful in bringing the community together every year for a July 4 party and this year they even did something for the kids for Halloween. They are animal friendly and they listen to suggestions to always try to improve the community in general. I have lived at this community for over 8 years and honestly I wouldn't change a thing. It's close to everything. My daughters school. There are bus's to the mall right outside. It's located close to the parkway and 287, rt 1 and 9. There are so many places to dine out. The courtyards are big and spacious which almost makes you feel like you have your own backyard. It's also very quiet and peaceful. Recently they actually even went a step further and are renovating the apartments to continue to improve the community and will be building a clubhouse and fitness center. Honestly it has been the greatest place to raise my daughter. So many of her friends live in the community as well. So I just want to really thank Frank and the staff for making this time that started as stressful 8 years ago as one of the greatest decisions I ever made. Thank you for everything and for caring for your residents.
Home Away From Home
I moved to NJ from Oklahoma looking for the same comfort and friendly neighbors that i left back home. I was greeted by a polite receptionist when I walked into the rental office of Kensington Apartments. She showed me a 1 bedroom APT. that had everything I was looking for except a washer and dryer. She informed me that each building has a laundry room so I wouldn't have to walk/drive far to clean my things. I requested one of the below ground apartments and Ive never experienced bug problems as they always keep the grass and hedges trimmed around my apartment and spray regularly. Ive been living here now for 3 years and it really does feel like home. When/If I do move it will be hard to find another place that compares. Everything is within walking distance from gas stations/auto body shops/ Grocery stores and Shopping Malls even the Metro Train station is close by. Its a great building, placed in a safe and awesome community. I would definitely recommend checking it out for anyone trying to find an affordable but nice place to live.
Good service, nice place to live
The maintenance crew is the best ! Polite and friendly- Nelson, Cathy, Nick, Debbie. Thanks guys for helping me out!
Convenient location, renovated apartments, and good people
Have lived both in renovated regular one bedroom and junior one bedroom apartments. Both apartments look very good especially kitchen. The Crossings at One is currently trying to renovate all the apartments and I feel they need more manpower. I feel that whichever company they hired for renovation could not keep up with speed and detail and so the maintenance department is struggling with fixing/finishing the "completely" renovated apartment after tenants move in. But the people are very nice and willing to solve the issues VERY HARD especially Amy in the management team. Most likely all those negative comments in this property would be from the past ones before the renovation started and new management team took over the previous Crossings. The property is in very convenient location and safe and quiet. I like it so far and hope to stay for a long time.
Wonderful Improvements and Community
Perfect location! This is a wonderful community with good people, and there has been a lot of recent upgrades. There is a sign out front that there is a new facility being built that is supposed to have a fitness center and resident internet lounge, that sounds great. As a renter, it is always refreshing to see a lot of money being put back into the property. I heard the Mayor make reference to the property in his annual address that the owners are putting in many millions of dollars to upgrade this property and a few others that is good stuff.
Management turns a deaf ear
My upstairs neighbors stomp around at 2:00am. Every single day! I put in a complaint a few times. And here I am- at 4-30 am wide awake because it happens even on a weekend! So sick and tired of the non-chalance and total disregard for human rights by the management. Shouldn't such incorrigible stompers be assigned to a ground floor apartment? Otherwise would have given this 5 Stars.
Home sweet home
Been a resident here for several years, since before the new management company took over. Love what they have done with the complex. Clean, safe and quiet neighborhood with modern renovations and awesome amenities. We spend a lot of weekends at the pool! Would absolutely recommend moving here!
Great Apartment Complex. Very positive leasing and move in experience.
Great Rental Apartments. The online application process was easy to complete, the leasing consultant was informative and we were very pleased with our apartment. Overall, this has been a very positive move in experience.
Great place !!
Me and my husband and my son been at this apartment for almost 3 years and is been so cozy and quiet, the neiborhood is really nice , everything is around the area so u don’t have to drive too far. Maintance are always on point when you need anything fix , and the office works pretty fast when you request something , great place thanks guys!!
Kengsington Apartments ( free rent for life would be awesome. )
It's a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt. Pool, park and tennis court on premises. Very friendly staff members. Maintence dept on key. Lots of friendly tenants. Cleaning people are on key for the hallways and laundry rooms. Mailboxes are inside buildings. Security doors to get in apartment, which is a plus also. On call maintence 24/7 are also a plus. We love it here and schools are in walking distance.
great service by rental ofice
I was in a bind. I went to the Kensington office with a truck load of furniture. The rental agent helped me to find an apartment and I was able to move in the same day. There was no stove in the unit and the agent called maintenance within the hour there was a stove Great service and compassion.
Great Place to Live
Great Place to live. Staff is extremely friendly. Lorin in leasing has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She helped us in making the right decision to move in to.
This apartment is nice and cozy. Dogs are allowed but there is an additional monthly fee. The area is great for walking your pet or to just go for a run. There is a playground and a pool for all building residents but must pay a mandatory yearly fee for the pool. The building maintenance is very slow on getting things done. I've asked them to fix my front door 8 months ago, they still haven't fixed it. I ended up repairing it myself. Overall, the apartment is nice but loud.
Great service, and would refer anyone looking for an apartment to the complex.
Great place to live
I'm currently living in this place and I have not plans to move out, great place for kids even pets. 4 years already and no complaints at all, office staff, maintenance, security are in a good response when you need their assistance. Yes I recommend you this place, swimming pool for your summer time, and surrendered with major restaurants and shopping centers.
This is the best apartment in the area - period. I found this place for my mother and she has loved it since Day 1! Not only is the place super accommodating and clean, but the major props go to the management. They're on top of everything from repair to minor maintenance that would normally be overlooked! Another thing to note is that the neighbors are very respectful and understand that there are "quiet" hours. They are very friendly and easy to get along with! Parking is more than plentiful. Since there are no assigned spots this may be a bit uncomfortable for those that are used to it but I promise you that there will always be parking available. Rent is always reminded to us so that we don't miss out payments and there is even a grace period! Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone that asks about it and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH DEBBIE AND SHE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL. IT IS VERY NICE TO CALL SOMEWHERE AND GET SOMEONE THAT IS PLEASANT TO TALK TO.
Debbie in Maintenance
I called Maintenance Debbie helped me. She was so polite, professional and helpful. I really appreciate all her hard work.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNIT/COMPLEX!!!!!!!!!!!
I moved into building number 9 on Tulip Drive, specifically unit 2P back in February of 2017. A month later I noticed the presence of a bed bug. At first, I was not too sure if it was a flea - I own a small Maltese so I thought she was the source. However, after conducting my own research I came to the conclusion that it was definitely a bed bug. As soon as I found out I quickly called maintenance, submitted a maintenance request and asked my unit to be inspected. Pest control came and provided me with an inspection and claimed to have found "nothing" (fair enough - bed bugs are difficult to find and can hide anywhere), However it was only after I requested a treatment that they had agreed to do one. Not to mention the response time was a bit slow, they came to my apartment days after I reported finding one. Fast forward to today, I am expecting to get another treatment done in my unit as soon as maintenance contacts me (I saved the bed bug in a ziplock bag so that there is physical proof - other than the pictures or bite marks). I refuse to bring my newborn baby into an apartment infested with bed bugs and this is the reason I WILL NOT be renewing my lease for the following year. No tenant should have to go through the amount of stress we went through especially after never having an issue with bed bugs to begin with. I do not recommend living here if you are concerned with getting bed bugs and are okay with throwing away BRAND NEW furniture.
I called and spoke with Debbie. She was very pleasant. Friendly and proffessional. Great experience
Debbie in Maintenance Office
Debbie is a hardworking, considerate and friendly employee.
Calling to book a tour was so easy and the woman setting up the appointment was not only thorough but she was very personable. Our tour with Amy and Roxanne was a pleasure. They informed us I all fees, amenities and repeatedly asked us if we had any questions. We felt very welcomed here and even before knowing definitively that we would be accepted, we decided not to go to 2 other tours we had scheduled for later the same day. Amy promptly replies to her emails and we can't wait to move in!!!! "You deserve this"
Professional and Friendly
Roxanne was very professional and friendly. She resolved all our queries, which helped us to take decision quickly.
Loving my new home
I knew when I walked in the rental office and met Lorin that I had found my new home. She was with me through the whole process and kept me informed. I love my apartment the staff have been very helpful I’m comfortable in the complex and I look forward to being here a long time. Thanks Lorin for all your help.
Chris Ries living review
Living in the crossings has been a great experience the management office Jackie and Rebecca have been great and met all my need in a timely and professional manner I would highly recommend renting her to any one .
Special thanks to Rebecca and Jackie in management for information and community updates. You ladies are awesome!
Love our new home
We like the community a lot. Very family oriented, lots of amenities. Everything included except electric, there’s a pool, courtyards for the dogs / or your kids , on site maintenance staff and they hold movie nights ! We had a blast last weekend. Very happy here
No Noise Dampening
If you live under anyone else, get ready to hear their whole lives. Everything is old hardwood floors that are super creaky and transfer so much noise. You can hear every foot step people above you take, and if they talk at even a slightly elevated volume, you can pretty much hear every word of their conversation. So you better hope you live under someone quite or considerate (but even then you will hear a lot of noise). Been here for just under 3 years and I honestly can't wait to move out.
Could Do Better
I lived at Crossings at One for a year. The apartment itself was nice. The junior one bedroom really starts to feel that "junior" size after a bit. The renovated apartments do look very nice. The bathroom and kitchen looked great. However, the way that the kitchen is set up with the baseboard, the fridge door doesn't open enough to get into one of the drawers at the bottom or adjust the shelves, even after having it fixed. My A/C unit slipped on its base, sitting crooked with a slight crack in the corner, and when I called maintenance and someone came to see it, they said it was fine. It did still work fine, but being crooked made it so loud whenever it was running that I was often straightening it out even tho it fell back into place. During the winter, my apartment was so hot that I had windows open or the AC on, even during a snowstorm. I tried turning off the heater dial on the wall, and it did nothing to help. I called about it, was told someone would see to it, and never got word of a visit or any improvement. The hallways trapped smells, like cooking or incense from other apartments. The grounds are maintained well, parking was never a problem. I was told a gym/package center was being built and would be done soon, and as of moving out, it's still not there. Also, I had a package stolen because it was left in the unlocked lobby at the mail boxes; it's as if the building doesn't try to enforce/encourage delivery/postal workers to use the intercom for entrance. The location is great. Overall, for the amount of rent I was paying, it's not really worth it to me.
ILLEGAL practices, Health hazards, Loud noise
I'm sure the renovations are lovely but this is still an old building with issues--banging, tapping, ANNOYING pipes. Nothing can be done about that. And the BUGS they can't figure out how to control for how many years? They can't even handle their current problems & they are not concerned about this. Why? Because YOU will be burdened with it & they know there is nothing you can do about it. I see they are very proud of their customer service. Well, they ARE very good at delivering bad news with a smile, being misleading, cutting corners..etc. I have lived on these properties for 3 years. They put people through quite alot. That's an understatement. This includes: 1. Ceiling collapse/flooding-- The construction company they use are SLOBS screw up the piping, leave construction debris on lawn for days, dirt all over carpets, blast loud music. 2. Serious roach outbreak-- I was told directly by pest control company that BUGS LIVE IN THE WALLS. So when they are tearing down your neighbors wall, the bugs move into the next apartment. 3. Loud, banging pipes- loudest at Crossings at Menlo 4. Highly disturbing noise from renovations-- I've had a few of these but believe me ONE IS ENOUGH. Walls are thin! It sounds like there's a drill in your kitchen. Just unbelievable. Renovations have gone on until 9pm when management declares it a "rush" job. This is against township noise ordinances. ILLEGAL practices, insect HEALTH HAZARDS, terrible NOISE. Please be wary of this company. Don't be fooled by the smiles & window dressing.
