Fenton provides the ideal location near several major cities. It is 38 miles north of Ann Arbor, 65 miles east of Lansing, 14 miles south of Flint, and 46 miles northwest of Detroit. It's no wonder the city's slogan is "Be Closer." And while you'll be able to reach two of the Great Lakes -- Lake Huron and Lake Erie -- in about an hour, Fenton is near an impressive 58 lakes, including Silver Lake and Lake Fenton.
Established in 1834, Fenton was first named Dibbleville -- you'll find a historical marker downtown after moving to your Fenton apartment. Dibbleville (named for early settler Clark Dibble) was purchased by William Fenton in 1837, and the name became Fentonville. The "ville" was dropped around 1863. You can learn more about Fenton's history at the Fenton Museum.
Be sure to take advantage of Michigan's natural beauty by visiting the local parks and lakes.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Creekside at Fenton Heights
I rented the newly renovated 1 bed 1 bath apartment. The unit is fully 100% electric for heating and appliances, this includes AC as well. I moved in towards end of summer and didn't need to run the AC at all but through the 4 months of winter I've dealt with I have had electric bills range from $300-$425 a month. I live alone and barely use the oven. I've never used the dishwasher. Each room has a separate thermostat and even keeping your eye on these and changing them makes no difference. The price remains the same for all of my close neighbors as well. Be very cautious!
I love the location of this property. There is a walking trail through the woods with a running creek, filled with wildlife. Also being able to have a garage for extra storage is amazing. Management does great with any needed repairs and new renovations are beautiful.
