Living in Kenosha combines lakefront beauty with city amenities. Located along Lake Michigan's southwestern shore, this Wisconsin city offers housing options from downtown apartments in historic buildings to newer communities in established neighborhoods. The waterfront area features HarborPark, where residents enjoy walking paths, museums, and the heritage streetcar system. The city maintains 74 public parks, including Petrifying Springs Park with its hiking trails and seasonal Biergarten. History and culture enthusiasts can explore four museums with Smithsonian affiliations. The rental market remains steady with average one-bedroom apartments at $1,210, showing a 0.6% increase over the past year, while two-bedroom units average $1,426.
Kenosha's location offers easy access to both Milwaukee and Chicago via the Metra commuter rail line, making it an excellent choice for commuters.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Courtyard Junction Apartments
Excelente service, good communication and quick attention.
Office staff is very anti social. They make you feel like you are bothering them when you need to speak to them. They make false claims to charge you for things that are not your fault at move out! The appliances that were provided are old as dirt and pretty much on their last leg. Noisy and not energy efficient. The landscaping is less than par. They definitely need to take some of that over priced rent and do some upgrades to not only the lawn and shrubbery but also the apartments themselves! I would recommend that you look at other complexes that are compatible in rent but have way more amenities than this place offers…which is close to nothing!
The apartments are nice, but for the ever increasing rent and lack of amenities on site. The main office is on the other side of town, so there isn't anyone around to remind people of the rules. And on several occasions there isn't anyone at that main office during their regular hours either. Snow removal is laughable. Maintenance staff is great to work with. Unfortunately you cannot schedule to have work done, unless your schedule makes it inconvenient for the main office to send out maintenance staff, and then they insist on scheduling the work. They go back and forth about how you can communicate with them. I had to drive 8 hours to sign my initial lease. It COULD NOT be faxed or emailed to me to sign. Renewing my lease had to be done online though. Calling the office number works only half the time. Leaving a voicemail (or 5) might get you a returned call, but it will come several days later. Management will only tell you the bare minimum of what you need to know. I was never offered a move in tour, so I didn't know that there were designated parking spaces for each unit. These spaces aren't marked so anyone can take your spot and you are simply out of luck. The office also makes it impossible to double check what they are charging you. They keep a running ledger of your account, but will not turn over the documentation for each entry unless you demand it for a few months straight. And it is a pleasant place for dogs that are not close to the ground. When they spray the grass for pests, they spray every minute inch leaving no room for dogs to relieve themselves. The little signs say to keep off the grass for 48 hours. When asked if they could spray in sections, I got a noncommittal "We'll look into that." So dog owner's who don't mind their pets being exposed to pesticides will like it here.
Here are my likes and dislikes... LIKES: ~ In unit washer & dryer ~ Nice community ~ They accept larger dogs ~ Large private garage ~ Balconies are not right next to one another, you have privacy. ~ King size bed fits nicely in master bed ~ Large six chair table fits nicely in dining area ~ Maintenance responds in a timely manner DISLIKES or things to be aware of: ~ I did not see the apartment I was renting until move in. I saw another unit that was empty at the time. ~ Carpets are cleaned when they should be replaced (I could clearly tell worn-down areas), leaving a thin cushion between floors. You can hear neighbors walking. ~ Thin walls, you can hear your neighbors talking. ~ My fixtures for kitchen sink and bathroom were outdated. I would have asked for new ones if I had known. ~ The coils and burner guards were old and should have been replaced. ~ Very close to train tracks. Trains run at night, you can hear whistle. If your window is open, you may be awoken by the train. ~ Very close to an animal shelter. You can only hear the dogs barking certain times of the day. Seems to be controlled by the shelter. This did not bother me but I thought you should know.
Property Manager at Courtyard Junction Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Courtyard Junction. Your feedback is very important to us as it helps us to improve and provide even better service. We are happy there are features you enjoyed about our apartments while you lived with us. However, I would also like to take this opportunity to address some of your dislikes. As not all apartments are vacant when a lease is signed, it can be off-putting to view an apartment that someone else is currently residing in. I do apologize that you felt this was a down-fall, but this is very normal to view a vacant apartment and rent another apartment. In regards to the other features in the home, we do replace carpet and pad when needed; however as of 2016 all the wood bathroom fixtures, brass light fixtures, and kitchen faucets are updated before a new resident moves in. As I am not sure of when you resided with us, I cannot fully speak to your entire experience with us. If you wish to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to reach out to our management office. We wish you all the best!
