Property Ratings at Courtyard Apartments
I lived in the Courtyard apartments for four years. I enjoyed it, but in hindsight, there are mold/mildew issues throughout the complex. I developed health issues while living there and fear that the mold from adjoining units played a major role in my decline.
Building is old and poorly maintained. Rented here for longer than I should have. Apartment is heated by old baseboard heaters that are extremely inefficient and very costly in the winter months for how small the apartments are. Property management in our time has failed multiple times to give proper warning for maintenance occurring in the building. They decided to upgrade the single pain windows in the middle of winter. The building doesn't have adequate parking available and you'll find yourself having to park down the road constantly. The company failed to follow up with lease renewal sign on bonuses. If I could give zero stars I would. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know.
It’s been a great fit for me! Since it is an older building, the tall ceilings and nice windows make my studio feel spacious. Due to the older design, there isn’t an exhaust fan in the bathroom though. You have to open a window. Parking is a bit of a struggle depending on the time of day. There is a part time on-site manger now. She has been very responsive to feedback. However, the online advertising is not updated. There no longer is a work out room, and there are usually a couple apartments available at a time. Verity Property Management has the openings on their website. All in all, it’s a good place especially if you are looking for a less expensive place to live for a few years while saving for a house.
