The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Courtyard Apartments
If I could give this no stars I would. Starting off the first couple months of me and boyfriend living here we had crime happening 24/7 after getting our vehicles broken into and people getting their stuff stolen outside and getting their apartments broken into by being kicked in and the property managers acting like nothing did happen. Keep in mind this place has no cameras to even help with crime. We had flooding issues constantly waking up with one inch of sewer water right when we got out of bed. Mold started to grow in the carpets and made us sick multiple times while also having so much water damage. The sink drain smelled so bad and was so old there was mold in the dishwasher when we moved in and the windows has no sealant so it was very cold all the time in the winter and the room we slept in got no heat or air conditioning because the vents didn’t work right. Every night I felt unsafe and unhappy and miserable in this apartment. When breaking our lease here the property manager talked to us horrible and was very disrespectful and challenging and rude. Very unprofessional and squeezed every single cent out of us before we could be rid of this place. I would not recommended this place to literally anyone. Don’t live here!!!!

Hi, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. We appreciate all reviews, and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve by providing us with this feedback.
This place deserves 1 star! Me and my boyfriend were living here for the past 9/10 months and as soon as we moved in, we noticed there was water damage. We went to the office with a list of problems the apartment had and the maintenance crew came over to look at the problems. They told us they would come back and get it fixed for us. However, they did not come back and after repeatedly going to office and complaining, there was no response. The water damage was so bad that a hole came in through the ceiling, there was black mold all throughout the apartment, and there were bugs coming in through the hole. This place was absolutely inhabitable which caused us to terminate our lease as soon as possible. All of the residential buildings including the laundry building have no cameras which is unacceptable considering I've had multiple clothing items stolen. Also unacceptable because on the second day of living there, I had someone try to break into my car. I have also witnessed two domestic violence situations that involved the police. There is terrible management who never respond and never seem to care about the residents and their health. We are now taking the next steps and have reported the apartment to the city and if you are looking for a place to stay in Columbia, this is NOT it!

Kaitlyn, we're very sorry to see this review. Although it happens infrequently, we never like to hear that a resident departed their apartment with negative feelings about our community and our service. We wish you the best of luck in your new home. Thank you.
I lived here for about a year in a two bedroom apartment and this is my honest review. First off, the pros of living here is that you're going to be close to a lot of convenient places. Gerbes, Best Buy, a gym, and a nice park are very close. Also, downtown is relatively close and you don't have to go down a busy road to get there. It's also cheap. There is also a pool. But then again, a lot of apartments have pools. Other than that, there are no additional amenities here. No gym, no rec area, there isn't much of a community life here either, at least when I lived here back in 2016. As for the apartment itself, it's fairly small and the two bedrooms are fairly close together. There's also only one bathroom so you will be sharing with your roommate. In addition, many apartments come with a washer and dryer but unfortunately this place doesn't come with these things. Finally, neither wifi nor utilities are included so you will be paying for these things as well on top of your actual rent. So all in all, I would not recommend living here. You can find apartments with more amenities, free wifi, a washer and dryer, and utilities either partially or fully included for around the same price at other places. Keep looking.
Last year my husband and I needed a place to stay for 9 months while we sold our house and finished work commitments before moving out of state at the end of the year. The Courtyard Apartment complex is quiet, conveniently located, and has a pool. We chose a 1 bedroom unit that had not yet been renovated and thus had a lower rent than those that were renovated. The 1 bedroom had plenty of room with two large closets and a small kitchen pantry. Up to 2 pets are allowed and there is a refundable pet deposit as well as monthly pet rent. The security deposit for the unit was reasonable, unlike many rentals in the area which charge a full month's rent as the deposit amount. The staff in the apartment office are very friendly & helpful. They will sign for any packages and hold them for you, should a delivery take place when you are not home to accept the package. The pool was clean and well maintained. Weekends were more crowded than weekdays so keep that in mind if you prefer a quiet pool experience. There is a gathering area near the pool and occasionally the office holds events for residents and this is a good way to meet some of your neighbors. There are some families living at the complex, but I rarely saw kids unless it was at the pool or when coming or going around school time when kids were loading onto and unloading from the bus. The laundry room is centrally located and machines are well maintained. We selected a unit near the back part of the property due to concerns of traffic noise from Stadium Blvd. There was some noise, mainly sirens, but not often and it was only noticeable when the windows were open. The parking lots and apartment entrances had adequate lighting and there were a sufficient number of dumpsters near each building. There is a paper recycling bin in the mail box area. It is easy to report problems or repair needs on the resident website. A couple of times during the year maintenance comes around to change the furnace filter, and adequate notice is given prior to the visit. We had a West-facing apartment, which means the sun really blasted into the windows in late afternoons during the summer. The blinds provided are nice but did not block the summer heat and the unit would get very warm. It only took a few days for us to realize we needed to hang curtains that would further block the summer heat. We enjoyed our time at Courtyard Apartments and highly recommend checking out the complex if you are in the market for an apartment.
