Located in the South Canadian River Valley, Newcastle is a peaceful community about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City. Newcastle draws in residents with its great schools, prime location, and laid-back atmosphere. Interstates 44 and 35 make traveling by car a breeze while the Will Rogers World Airport, located just 15 minutes away, makes additional travel accessible as well. Most of the city is made up of quiet residential streets. Newcastle renters have choices between affordable apartment communities.
Staying true to its roots, this western city is full of Native American traditions The Chickasaw Nation still maintains its cultural presence through businesses and displays. Commercial developments lie along the interstates, and the city draws in people from surrounding areas with its exciting casinos.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cottage Park Newcastle **Senior Community**
Run far away from this place. Management is absolutely horrible. If something breaks, don't expect management and maintenance to fix anything, and they rarely mow the lawns. So invest in a lawn mower. Like the other person said, not all of the solar panels work. That means you will pay the highest amount for energy. And management will not take any steps to get the solar company to turn them on. Zero star rating.
Run as far away from this place as you possible can. The management is a joke, they don’t take care of anything or anyone. They aren’t personable at all and could care less about the residents. They have a storm shelter the residents pay for yet it’s been locked up and unusable to anyone since Covid, as well as the work out facility. They won’t fix anything you turn in for a work order. “Everyone” is supposed to have solar power, yet not everyone does. My ice machine broke, was never fixed. Never changed filters, light bulbs, hardly ever mowed. This place is a joke!
Cottage Park used to be ran quite well. The last few years little by little all the services and amenities you move in for are gone. Your lucky if they mow every 2 weeks in the summer usually it is every 3 weeks. They don't do any maintenance the carpet is all over 10 years old and so is all the paint. They used to replace air filters and light bulbs now they tell you to do it yourself. Nice for a bunch of seniors! They not longer spray her bugs or do much of anything. Management is there 1 time a week if your lucky and turning orders in for maintenance is a joke.
