I've just visited the apartment and loved every minute of it. The leasing agent Ms. Ellis was especially helpful. Showing me other great features about the building that I may not have thought of before. Overall, my experience was been amazing! After 3 years living in this community, I still feel Place on Ponce (POP) is the best place to live in Decatur. It’s just so easy to feel grounded here. Things making that possible: great location, super staff!, ease of shopping, neighborhood. POP rules!
Bill is phenomenal! We didn’t really need to ask many questions because he was so thorough. We toured the property and was very impressed. Bill gave us so much information and made us feel so comfortable even with what we’re dealing with during this time. Everyone seems very friendly. Love the security access and the floor plans. The kitchens are a great size and the bathrooms are a very nice size. Thank you so much!!!
My husband and I have lived here for 4 years and love the location. I work in healthcare so it’s nice being so close to work at Emory and Children’s. In our spare time we can walk to some of the best restaurants or take MARTA to games. We feel very safe here and it’s quiet even if I’m working night shift.
I have been here for a little over 3 years and love this place. The location is fabulous--I can walk to so many spots in downtown Decatur. We have a really nice group of residents and cute pets. The amenities are great. The leasing office is so nice to work with. During quarantine, one of the maintenance people noticed the light over my apartment door was out--he replaced it without my calling it in. I really feel at home here.
We have lived at Place on Ponce for more than 3 years in both a 1 BR and a 2 BR and have loved the experience. We love having a balcony that overlooks downtown Decatur, and it's walkable to tons of restaurants and green spaces in the area. The pool and gym are great amenities, as is the secure parking garage. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are lots of friendly neighbors as well. It's also very dog friendly, which is great with our 2 dogs.
On one side, a nice family neighborhood with lots of nature that's nice for walking. On the other side, urban part of Decatur. We are walking distance from plenty of restaurants, shops, and even the MARTA station. We love our spacious 2/2. Big bath and shower, very nice big kitchen with decent appliances. We were originally trying to avoid carpet, but we were very happy that they put in new carpet before we moved in. Our balcony overlooking the zen garden is very cozy and has a nice pop of nature with cardinals that fly about. Bedrooms and closets are decent size. Overall very comfortable. The office is very professional, they handle mail, work orders, and other concerns very well. The amenities are nice, I can charge my car, there's secured bike storage, a covered garage, pool, grills, modern gym, and much more.
POP knows how to make you feel right at home. Finding an apartment community you can trust is difficult, especially in a major city. But POP made me feel welcome and respected since day 1. The location is perfect for anyone that likes to walk/bike to things. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
The overall service and staff experience is excellent. I never had to ask for anything because everything was so organized and arranged ever since I moved here. Now I couldn't wait for my spouse and kids to join this wonderful apartment and community. Specifically, the location - Decatur downtown but a bit away from the main road traffic, clean common areas, cozy club room and floor plan is what I liked about The Place on Ponce !

I love this apartment for its amenities and its location but the staff is outstanding. They really make an extra effort to make sure we have everything we need. It really is a warm and welcoming place to live.
Place on Ponce is a beautiful building in a perfect location. Unfortunately, the leasing team and management are atrocious. In the process of renting an apartment, their response time was so poor that we had to drive over to the leasing office to get anything done. And after waiting several days for a response we were told that the staff member was on vacation which seems silly considering all emails and voicemails go to a general inbox that all the leasing staff has access to. Any decent manager can agree that 24 hours or less is a reasonable response time when working in sales. We worked with several people when going into the office so it would make sense that any of these people could have responded to us. After agreeing on a price, they took so long to process our application that the prices magically went up. Not only were their response times awful, and their dealings shady, Shaun was also rude to my girlfriend. At that point, I decided Place on Ponce was not the place for us so I went to the leasing office to request my deposit back. During that process Austin was dismissive and rude to me while his manager sat in the room behind him saying and doing nothing. It all starts with leadership and leadership is obviously lacking at the Place on Ponce. We're still waiting on our refund.....
My husband and I LOVE living in The Place on Ponce. We've lived here two years and have no plans of leaving. The leasing office and maintenance staff are so kind and helpful. Plus the amenities are amazing (the pool and trash valet are a personal favorite). The location is unbeatable - we walk to the square all the time. The schools are top notch. The apartment complex is super family friendly and safe. We love it!
The Place on Ponce is by far the best place my family has ever lived. The location is amazing. A great selection of excellent restaurants and plenty of shopping is just a step outside of your front door. The staff is courteous and always responsive. And they boast an impressive list of amenities: a beautiful swimming pool with a waterfall, a zen garden, a gym, a yoga studio w/ free yoga classes three times a week, a club room, a business center, valet trash, and a coffee bar with complimentary coffee. Yes, that is right, a coffee bar with complimentary coffee. Anytime day or night, coffee is waiting for you. And it's not just any coffee; it's really good coffee. Seriously, this place is worth it just for the coffee. As far as the apartments themselves, most of the apartments are less than a year old. I have had no problems with noise. The best parts about the apartments are the beautiful kitchen, the nice sized bathrooms, and the roomy walk-in closets. The walk-in closets are so big that my son turned his into a small office ... and still had room for all his clothes! The one (minor) complaint I have: the bedrooms are a touch smaller than I would like. But this is just me nit-picking. Truly, this place is amazing. You would be hard pressed to find a better place to call home.
