I have really enjoyed living at Cortland Cary! The amenities are great, love the gym(s) and pools. The maintenance team is always quick to respond whenever needed. The office staff is always friendly and personable, a very welcoming community. I also appreciate the variety of events they host - there's always something, kid-friendly activities to social gatherings for residents. The location is very close to Target and several grocery stores. Overall, it’s a great place to call home!

This is a very comfortable environment to live in. The staff is courteous and the residents events are well thought out. They also think of the youth in most events. Also they have great amenities which stops you from having a gym membership or finding a lot of recreation.

I have been living here for almost two years and things have continued to decline even though rent continues to increase. Maintenance has let themselves into my apartment multiple times while I am home which is terrifying. I have been asking for the bike in the gym to be fixed for almost a year now and they just keep telling me it is “fixed” even though nothing has changed. The fob system has not worked at all since I moved in so the building is not secure. And now I have found COCKROACHES in my apartment over the last several days and when I called the office to try to get help, they said I would need to wait 4 days until the pest management guy comes again.

The staff is amazing!! I recently had some issues in my apartment and James was the one you took care of my issue. He was very prompt and knowledgeable he took care of the issue with no problem plus, he had a very positive attitude. We have seen him on the property before, and he always has such a friendly smile and speaks. This is a great place to live and your staff is amazing!!!

When this place first opened, it was great. Over the past 2 years, it has gone downhill. Landscaping, residents from neighboring apartment complexes using our amenities, and maintenance has declined. I even got bit by a dog on this property and filed a complaint per their policy. Never heard from admin as I was supposed to per the front desk staff. Cortland Cary has even hired one of the residents to do landscaping in order to cut costs, but they keep raising our rent.

Hello, We appreciate and value your feedback as a resident of Cortland Cary. We are sorry to hear that you have not been as pleased with the community over your 2 years of living here. We have recently hired a full-time groundskeeper in an effort to keep our grounds looking beautiful, along with our landscaping team. Our groundskeeper is a current resident of Cortland Cary, as is 50% of our current team. We made the decision to hire a current resident that was looking for employment because we know he already has a level of care for the community and will work hard to maintain it alongside the rest of our team. Hiring a resident is not something done to cut costs, as we do not pay team members any differently if they live at our community or elsewhere. We are currently sharing our amenities with one of our sister communities while they undergo renovation of their own amenities. We know that our sister communities would allow our residents use of their spaces if needed in a similar situation. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with a dog in our community. In any case of incidents like this occurring, we do our best to handle the situation along with local law enforcement and animal control. The location is great, there is so much in close proximity. The property is pretty quiet with great amenities. The maintenance staff is extremely helpful and takes care of any needs very quickly.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is far from luxury! Last year the staff was awesome, now it's awful. Since property manager Gabby took over this place has really gone downhill. Overpriced rent for a poorly run property. Look elsewhere!

The leasing office staff always respond to me in a friendly, timely manner. I know they must be overwhelmed after Solis Alston was purchased & merged into one large property w/Cortland Cary yet I always receive professional, swift service. Our mailroom for packages is currently being switched over to another system and we have been notified by the leasing office. They apologized for the mess & I have walked in on staff repeatedly working hard to organize the disarray that the delivery workers are making during this process.
Julius helped me find an apartment for my parents here and I could not be more impressed. He was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and a joy to work with. I would recommend Cortland to anyone, but I would send them to see Julius. Thank you!
I have lived here for a year and this has been the worse place for me ever. Although you pay for an luxury feel Cortland Cary falls extremely short of that experience. Something is always broken (call box, elevator,package room, etc.) and the office is slow to do anything about it anything, including issues you may have, and this goes especially for the property manager. They don’t let you know when they come into your home and will even pop in while you are in the shower, which is happened to a few residents. They are last minute with everything and hold no accountability for their actions. I would advise you to look elsewhere, so many places in the area for the same price and a better experience to be had.
