This is an excellent community with an excellent clubhouse staff and supervisors. The service team is also exceptional, I was amazed at well the buildings and grounds held up after the two historic hurricanes and how fast the service team cleared vegetation and and repaired things afterwards.

My first impression of Cortland Brighton Bay was how incredibly beautiful it is. I love to walk around the lake and look at all the wildlife, the birds, turtles and of course the Otters. The residents are very friendly and everyone always says hi as they walk by, but what makes this place the best is the management and maintenance staff. They are all so caring and good at their job, they make me feel so welcome. Not to mention the food trucks, the gift wrapping station at the holidays and the thank you events like the BBQ and free breakfast! Overall it has been a pleasure living here.

The apartments are so nice with a lot of character and great floor plans. My neighbors are friendly and even offered to help when I was moving in. The front office staff are all very responsive. The grounds are nice and quiet, my dogs love to walk around the pond.

The team at Cortland Bay have shown to be efficient and caring. the apartments are comfortable and well maintained as is the whole community. It is a fun place to live. The opportunities provided by the team to socialize with your neighbors is awesome. Cortland is a very accommodating community. Everyone is friendly, parking is ample, and our pool area is gorgeous. The complex seems safe and I highly recommend!

The staff from the office to maintenance are amazing!! A wonderful place to live. I highly recommend living here.
Cortland at Brighton Bay was great when we moved in but the management continues to make improvements around the property. The grounds are always very clean. The office staff are wonderful. There are often community events that are fun and worthwhile, we look forward to connecting with neighbors at these. Communication to residents is very timely and appropriate. My husband, toddler and I have been here 16 months and we love it.
Melissa, Liz and the rest of the staff are simply the best. Maintenance requests are honored expeditiously. Amenities are great and Cortland makes a conscious decision to have fun and beneficial community involvement and activities.
Courtland of Brighton Bay is not worth the rent they charge unless you want to live around a bunch of unsavory characters that are able to get away with trashing the place, smoking that gets into all surrounding apartments, and noise that travels very easily. People that live here have no respect for others. The "gated community" is a joke because people just wait for someone to open the gate and follow them in behind.

Awesome place to live! Youd never know that you live in a apartment when your inside your home. Office staff is very nice and willing to go above and beyond to help you no matter how busy they are. Ive never had one bad experience with anyone in the community. Great pricing on rent and you get a lot for what you pay for compared to most apartments.

We are very happy living at Brighton. We love walking within the complex and in the surrounding area with our new baby. Staff are always helpful and kind. Maintenance is quickly addressed (so far just light bulb changes needed, nothing major). The kitchen has an especially high quality feel.

The service team is amazing! I have never lived in a place where the requests are done so quickly! The individuals on the service team are always professional, friendly, clean, and amazing at their craft. Its things like this that made it a no brainer to renew my lease. Honestly unless I have to move out of state for some unforeseen reason or when I am ready to buy my own house or condo, I will be living in this community. The specific individual who has done most of my service work is the nicest guy, he is always kind, upbeat, positive, and great at his job. I love the fact that I can feel comfortable knowing that if something happens (as its life, things wear out and fail at some point when they are being used) the service team will be ready and happy to help. The quality of Cortland at Brighton Bay is truly incredible and many businesses and companies could learn a thing or two from Cortland on how to run a business that cares about its customers. Sorry for the book, I just wanted to express my gratefulness and thankfulness to have found a wonderful place to live!

Overall a truly amazing complex. Its nice and quiet, other residents are respectful, feels safe, and maintained well. Staff are very friendly and do their best to go above and beyond.
Overall beautiful community with fantasticly prompt maintenance staff.
Its okay here. They charge a pest control fee but theres always problems with raccoons getting into the trash causing the walkways to become extremely dirty. I would like to see them remove the pest control fee if they cant keep the pests under control. The overall maintenance on the grass and bush trimming doesnt seem to be well done or done often enough.

clean quite very nice place to live.
The community is nice and quiet, and tucked in the corner. It could use some TLC, the dog park is not nice - theres almost no grass. The gym has been under renovation since I signed my lease in October and its now February and still isnt open. The apartments get very warm which causes you to turn the AC up and thus your electric bill is high. The construction of the apartments also allow a lot of noise from all your neighbors, especially those above you. There a lot of things to do in the area and youre in a good location to be by st. Pete and Tampa, and theyre slightly less expensive so you basically get what you pay for.
The Coves is a beautiful and friendly place to live. Staff is courteous and helpful. Apartments are spacious with lots of windows and unique layouts. The pool and pond areas are great and they're making improvements that we are very excited about. We have lived in 3 different apartments in the complex and love it here!
Its not as nice as it appears however it isnt awful. They have a big management problem but the apartment itself and the people are great!
Pros: Friendly staff. Maintenance is quick to fix issues. Food truck Tuesdays. Well kept grounds. Cons: People smoke even though it's a non-smoking community- it constantly reeks like cigarette smoke in my apartment because of my neighbors and I've seen people smoking on their porches around the community. People are loud by the pool late at night. There are entryways into the complex that don't require a key. For the prices they charge, you'd think they'd enforce the rules better or hire a security guard, especially for nighttime.

I want to thank Melissa and her team for being so amazing since day one. I've been living in The Coves for the past 2 years and O still feel this is home to me. Thank you for your excellent work as a team. Thank you Wilfredo for your great maintenance service, you are very professional.
So far my experience has been a great one at The Coves. The staff are very professional and engaging with the residents. I feel safe and love how quiet the community is. I would recommend this Cortland property to anyone.
