On the left bank of the Genesee River, just south of Downtown Rochester, lies Corn Hill, a neighborhood whose residents take pride in their contribution to the city's culture and heritage. A convenient place to live due to its proximity to the heart of Rochester, Corn Hill sits near the entrance to Interstate 490, making it great for commuters. There’s a diverse mix of duplexes, townhomes, and single-family rentals that delight any renter. There are restaurants and shops abound on Ford Street and South Plymouth Avenue, making Corn Hill a surprisingly self-contained locale in the south of Rochester.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Corn Hill Townhouses & Apartments
Property seems to be poorly constructed with outlets popping out of the walls and uneven heat distribution throughout the space. Grounds maintenance people can be found all over, making all sorts of noise, but if you ever need something fixed, Management can't seem to find them. If you are lucky enough to get the time of day, the maintenance person they send will mostly spend their time telling you how they're unable to fix the issue you asked to be fixed. When they leave, they'll tell Management the issue was resolved. Management will frequently dispatch noisy or disruptive maintenance to the property you're in without informing you before hand. This is especially charming when maintenance, for some reason, feels the need to bang on your door for some inane request. If you don't comply, you'll get a call from Mangement. Management has changed hands several times in the last few years, and quality of living has trended downward with every exchange. Don't expect a bright future for the area.
We live/rent a townhouse now and though the area is wonderful we need to highly recommend that you thoroughly look through your place before you sign your agreement. We were not given that opportunity and there are so many issues that they just will not fix (walls were half painted, rugs had huge tears, cupboards were old, broken and tattered). The area is wonderful but the maintenance takes forever to respond and since we have been here, management has already changed (and not for the better unfortunately). Great location but be very cautious if renting.
My boyfriend and I love our sublet but they rented it without asking us if we want to stay after the sublet is up. Now we are sad we have to leave this awesome apartment but are hoping to get one that we like just as much. It has a beautiful view of the river with the wonderful history of the city. Close to parks and wonderful dining. We are using apartments.com to help us find our next dream apartment! Thanks guys!
