By reading other reviews it seems like I am not the only one that was not able to look at the apartment until the move in date! Nothing to do with the model apartments, waited 3 hours at the lobby to finalize the sign off contract! Unit was dirty, fridge dented, carpet and walls with spots, missing outlets. Very disappointed! Make sure to check the unit you will be moving into before even paying.
Recently moved in and we are very happy here. Quiet and clean
Freeway noise is unbearable. They hire a towing company to tow anyone without a pass even though there are tons of open spots. They do this to force you to pay an extra $200 per month. Repairs take forever to complete.
Early today my roommate and I viewed a few of the floor plans and instantly fell in love. Great customer service and the apartments had everything we were looking for from and in unit washer and dryer to a balcony and fireplace. We’re excited to sign the lease and become a part of the community!
They just implemented a new parking policy where you have (as tenant) have to pay EXTRA $100 to be able to park your car in the compound. Outside the garage. That’s PER MONTH. Guest parking is NONE. So anyone who visits will have to park outside and walk about 2 blocks to you place. Packages and mail often get stolen.
We moved here from Las Vegas a month ago. We were not allowed to see our actual unit until move in day. They were more than happy to show the model though. Now I know why. I would have passed if I was able to see my unit ahead of time. Filthy banged up appliances, leaky refrigerator, disgusting tile floors (dirty, missing grout, many chips), sloppy paint job, cabinets that look like they were scratched by a huge dog, the list goes on and on. On top of all that I have seen several pit bulls in the complex which are supposedly not allowed. One good thing is that I am getting my exercise since there is never any parking within a half mile of my apartment in the evening. Very disappointed!
My two boys and I were new to California. The staff, Anntoinette, Anthony, even the maintenance manager, Phil were nothing but amazing to us. Friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. We moved in and have stayed now 13 months. The grounds are beautiful and the pools are always kept clean. If anything ever needs to be fixed it's done in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a small family friendly community!
AC goes out on a 113 degree weekend and they won't hire an AC tech to fix it. Only response is they have 70 hours to respond.
I moved in over a month ago and I have to say I was very happy with the whole process of this move to my new home. The townhomes here at the Colony are very spacious and well maintained. The staff is friendly. The amenities mean I do not have to pay for a gym membership any longer as they have a fitness center and a pool. I was able to move into a unit with a nice view. Couldn't be happier.
Upscale, quiet well kept gated community. I have lived here for five years and cannot find anything comparable for the same price. I would like to move closer to the job, but this seems to be the best fit for price and space.
I love my apartment, but the parking is terrible. It is a great gated community, and very family orientated. Will be renewing my lease!
this apartment is nice but too far from my work but i can,t afford one close to my work in burbark
When we first moved here, we were a bit skeptical on the monthly rent but to our surprise it came out to be affordable for our family. The area is beautiful and adds that California feel with palm trees down the driveways. I love how the kids have their own playground and how kind the neighbors are. I enjoy our town home, definitely gives off a homey vibe and with a newborn baby, I definitely appreciate the peace and quiet this area provides. Another plus to this area is that the frequent stores I go to such as CVS, Food 4 Less, Vallarta, etc are within the 5 mile radius and can be of walking distance. Love it here! :)
Colony Townhomes is a good building. I have lived here for two years, and don't have any major complaints, however, parking here is horrible. If you are the type that like to have guest over every once and a while, I would think twice before moving here. The guest parking spots are always full (except during the day, 7am-1pm) and I would say 90% of the spots are used by residence, not guest. I brought this to the management attention several times. Each time they said they are working on something and nothing ever changed. The townhomes themselves are nice, the living areas are very small though. Even though it's a good square footage, the layout is a little awkward. Never had a issue with maintenance or anything like that. If there was a problem is was handled quickly. There are a lot of children who play here, but it calms down at sunset.
