Property Ratings at Collett Woods Townhouses
After applying and being approved I discussed our move in date over a month in advance. I called to check in 2 week prior and was assured that we were all set. On our move in day after driving 20 hours from our military instillation they had nothing ready for us and we were told it would be nearly a week before anything would be ready. After making us feel like this scenario was our fault, they were fully prepared to leave an active duty soldier and his pregnant wife homeless until they got the apartment ready. Shame on the property manager for hiding in her office and not even offering any kind of apology, shame on the employees for being so disorganized. I would not recommend working with this complex to ANYONE, especially those who are coming from out of state.

We lived in a 2 BR ranch for 2-1/2 years, and it was a great experience. Even though it's just off Route 332, not much road noise, except for the big rigs. Management was very responsive to the few minor issues we had. Neighbors were mostly friendly. Definitely a dog/pet friendly development. Only complaint is the extra fees - you pay for EVERYTHING. Water, sewage, garbage, RGE. It added up, the water/sewage bill approached $50 a month for just 2 of us.

The apartment and amenities were nice and we liked the location. However, the office staff was horrible. We had an issue with our toilet that we complained about five or six times before it was finally fixed. We also had leaking/floodingproblems in our basement (twice) which ruined a lot of our belongings. There was also a carpenter ant infestation that was never fully addressed while we lived there. We didn’t so much mind things breaking, it was more the rental management’s response and handling of the issues. They weren’t responsive and many times ignored the problem until we would really put our foot down.

This place is a total joke. Rude office staff. Unsafe living conditions. Over priced housing. If you try to leave they will hit you with every fee possible. DO NOT MOVE here if you value your sanity. Lots of other choices than here. Your garage will smell like trash all summer, water bill is like 50 bucks a month. Heating is messed up there is a 5 degree difference between upstairs and down stairs. Rules and more rules. You cannot even wash your car in your driveway.
I moved to Collett Woods a few months ago and love it. The community is so quiet and the people are really friendly. The location is also perfect....right next to I-90 and close to downtown Victor. The rental staff has also been amazing...they're so responsive and friendly. Collett Woods is a great place to call home.
