Clark Creek Village is our Oasis!
Jane the manager is always friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept and beautiful, apartments are clean with new appliances, and the complex is tucked into a lovely tree-filled landscape- it's truly a peaceful oasis in the midst of the Salem hustle and bustle. We love it!
Wonderful place to call home
My family and I absolutely LOVE it here. Not only is the manangmebt terrific but it's cozy and set back by the creek. Everyone is very friendly, pets are welcomed and much loved! It's close to freeway access, ventis, coffee shops and grocery stores. So thankful to live here. Only apartments I will live at and I've left and come back because I missed it!
This apartment complex is great. The landlord is absolutely fantastic. She does everything in her power to make sure you have a comfortable living space. Everything is timely, clean, and perfect. One of the best places to live in Salem.
This place is a pain!
The apartments are mediocre at best, I'd call it a 1.5 bedroom if I was being generous. Most of the appliances (excluding the washer/dryers) are outdated and things break fairly regularly. None of that would be a problem if it weren't for the horrendous management. I put in a request to fix our outlets which shorted and they NEVER got fixed but if our neighbors complained that our toilet never stopped running they would barge into our place with no warning no problem! The little "manager" they have running the place now is the previous manager's daughter who skips out on work at least once a week. She's only actually in her office half of the hours she has posted which are meager to begin with. I don't know how she expects anyone with a full time job to be able to meet between 11-3 M-Th. Terrible communication, and none of the problems we reported seem to ever get fixed. Neighbors smoke pot, kids are always screaming, no parking options. All the things you move to South Salem to get away from are found right here in this little nothing special complex. Save yourself the headache and skip this one.
This apartment complex used to be wonderful. I recommended it often to friends in the area. Now, however, the management has changed. The old manager was a wonderful lady that has moved on, passing the job on to her 18-year-old conflict-avoiding child. She does not take care of the grounds. She does not deal with maintenance requests. She is NEVER in her office except for the 1st-5th of the month to collect rent (she also doesn't answer the phone or e-mails). Essentially, if you're ok with going down with the ship while rent continues to skyrocket, move here. We will be leaving as soon as our lease is up.
PERFECT PLACE TO LIVE
Salem is full of 'alright' apartment homes, this one beats them all by far. Love the atmosphere and the management is always friendly. I've never had a problem with neighbors being loud or rude. Just an overall good experience!! Thank you for making this a great place to live.
best apartments around.
These have to be some of the best apartments around! Great living space and made to be comfortable yet modern. The rent isn't expensive at all and the management is a blessing, everyone there tries to work with you on things as much as possible.
Best place I've lived so far..
Great atmosphere, Great location, Great management. I love how helpful everyone is at the office, and I've never had a problem living here :) I feel like its a safe and good environment for me, my husband, and my four month old daughter. Very quiet and serene for being in a not-so-great town :)
We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Clark Creek Apartments. My best advice if you decide to rent here is to get EVERYTHING IN WRITING and be sure to take photographs of the condition that you place was in when you first moved in. We were assured repeatedly that this was a smoke free building. Shortly after we moved in, it was clear that the renters below us were heavy smokers and that they were regularly smoking in their unit. They also had loud arguments (very late at night - 12am to 2am.) When we brought these issues to the attention of the managers, it seems that they were reluctant to be assertive in enforcing the no smoking policy and noise problem. Fortunately, these tenants purchased a home and moved out after 4 months at the end of their 12 month lease. Things seem alight after that. There were nuisances like barking dogs, parking space problems and it became a common practice for me to pick up after people's trash and/or dog's waste but we tried to make the best of it. Ultimately, we moved out, cleaned the apartment thoroughly and returned our keys on schedule. The managers thanked us and said the place looked great. We shook hands and left relieved - our cleaning deepest was returned minus a carpet cleaning a standard cleaning fee. WE though that everything was settled. A month later, we paid our PG&E electric bill - thinking that this was the final bill. We moved out and returned the key Feb. 28th 2017 and honored our contractual agreement. Unfortunately we are continued to be billed for the unit's electricity AFTER WE HAD MOVED OUT due to our forgetting to inform PG&E of our move. We called the management company immediately and learned that the previous manager was no longer employed at that location. Okay, we thought .. this explains why the electric bill was still in our name after we had returned the key - it seemed to have been a simple mistake. The new manager promised to correct the problem but has still not done so. We are still waiting for Norris and Stevens company to reimburse us for the time that they were using the electricity in our name March 3rd - April 3rd (reminder, we had returned the key Feb. 28th an had officially ended our ranted agreement Feb. 28th.) The new manager promises to speak to the regional office again but said that they may not reimburse our account.
Great little place to call home
The new manager has been here since March and no doubt about it - she had big shoes to fill but as time passes it keeps improving. She is in her office from 9-3 Tue-Sat and has always been there when we needed her. The Harvest Fest was great! Corn and Chili Dogs and much more. YUM Our unit is just under 900 sq ft and we have plenty of room as well. All and all it is a great little place to call home.
