Directly across the Missouri River from Kansas City Proper, North Kansas City is a community with an industrial background mixed with modern suburban personality. Most of the residences are clustered in the northwest corner of the city, with the southern half of town mainly occupied by industrial buildings.
Macken Park on the north side is a great venue for getting outdoors and enjoying the sunshine, and regularly hosts outdoor concerts in the summertime.
