Property Ratings at Citrino
Terrible experience with this Sunrise Management, especially Citrino. Despite following all lease obligations and moving out on time, the handling of my security deposit was a nightmare, and their lack of professionalism was unacceptable. We moved out at the end of November 2024, but we have not received the check of security deposit refund as of January 14, 2025. This blatant disregard for tenant rights under California Civil Code Section 1950.5(h) suggests a lack of respect for their legal obligations. The advertised price is misleading and doesn’t include parking fees—$125 for a garage spot (with a frequently broken gate) or $75 for outdoor covered parking. For the total cost, you can find much better places with actual community amenities. At Citrino, there are no real amenities; the "community room" is just the property manager’s office, which is locked when she isn’t there. Communication is a nightmare—more than 50% of calls go straight to voicemail, and you’ll need to send several follow-ups to get a response. We’ve seen many tenants move out after their leases ended because management raises rent by more than 5%. They also mislead about utility costs, claiming lower electricity bills due to solar, but you still pay full SDGE bills. On top of that, hidden fees are added after move-in through an addendum. No one wants to stay. Save yourself the headache and find a better-managed property with transparent pricing and real amenities.
