The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Chauncey Village
Chauncey Village is the best kept secret quietly tucked away in town with close proximity to everything! It's great to be a part of such a beautiful community for 12 yrs now! Spacious floorplans, caring staff, and endless amenities! Perfect for family gatherings and special times, as well as every day living!
We just signed our second lease here and we plan to stay for the near future (3-4 years) because at least in this case, our first impressions turned out to be true. On our initial visit we were struck by how quiet the complex was and even though its located off the very busy Greenbush St.it had a manicured-park-like feeling. The second thing we noted was how active the maintenance staff was. Nothing major going on; just generally sprucing things up. Third, the office staff listened; no hard sell or rah rah they simply addressed our concerns with accurate information. The last year has confirmed these initial impressions. The City has made the area very bike\pedestrian friendly and Munger Park is only moments away. The maintenance staff are available 24hrs. and they encourage reporting small issues before they get out of control. And as we discovered last winter, very cold nights are no exception. The office staff continues to impress. For instance. they have re-arranged scheduled inspections and maintenance work because they remembered that I work nights and might need some sleep. And they always ask about our cat by name. The math is obvious rent, bedrooms, etc. If all of that adds up for you then I encourage you to take a look at this complex and follow your instincts as we did.
I love my apartment I have enough room for me and my family. When my fiance and I first seen the apartment our apartment we fell in love with it. Management and maintenance are wonderful people they tends to whatever we need. It is a clean and safe area to raise a family.
My gorgeous townhouse is very maintained I have two stories, spacious rooms throughout, new carpeting walk-in closets, 1/2 batrooms with and extra sink area in the master bedroom, I have a patio/balcony fenced in back area for barbecue, I have my on storage space connected to my home and washer/dryer hook~ups and I have a very quiet and friendly neighborhood and the property haves a pool and also outdoor and indoor activities for children and adults.
This is the perfect place to live. We are on the bus route; near great restaurants; shopping; Munger Park is across the road for nice walks, picnics or fishing; and the apartment complex is mostly quiet. Other amenities are: a playground, basketball court, tennis court, a "bark park", a pool with lounge chairs, and on site laundry (if you don't have a washer/dryer). The maintenance is superb, if we have a problem, it's fixed quickly. As long as we are in Lafayette we will be staying here. Anders & Susan J.
They are very nice but tend to be a little slow on fixing some maintenance issues. The people that work here are also very professional. The apartments are very spacious and not badly priced.
It is a really great apartment I love the area the people are very nice
I've lived at Chauncey for over ten years and there is no place else I'd rather call home. It is close to interstate and shopping and it beautiful. The office girls are great and even remember your name. The service guys respond almost as soon as you need something. I'd recommend Chauncey to everyone looking for a great place.
Chauncey village apartment is so good place to live. Very clean and good maintenance service. Very pleasant apartment to live in.
we had to move out of our home due to having to have a handicap place. Jennifer knew it was heart breaking but she made the transition bearable. we got a downstairs easy access . if ever there is a problem with the apartment they are right away to fix it. being that we had to move out of our home I believe that Chauncey apartments was the place to go. they made it easier.
i absolutely love it here. It's great here, clean, friendly and fun.
Chauncey Village is the perfect place to raise your children or retire. The neighborhood is very quiet and everyone keeps to themselves. Office staff and maintenance are very friendly and efficient. The bedrooms are enormous, especially the master bedroom. Also, the master closet is like a mini bedroom. Unlike most apartments in the area, it has a pool, a tennis court, dog park, fitness center, playground, basketball court, and you can grill. If your looking for a place to be, this is a place to see.
I've lived in this complex for 14 years - in the same apartment for 13. Without-question I like it here and don't see myself moving any time soon. There are many amenities, such as a pool, laundry room, rec room, tennis court, pet area, etc. All are clean and well-maintained. I'm sure others will post more about them so I won't go into detail. I wanted to touch on a less obvious aspect of a good apartment experience. What I want to highlight is when things don't go as expected. In other words, maintenance. We all know that little things crop up. Things wear out. And as you can imagine in my 14 years here, sometimes things break. The maintenance staff is fantastic and I can't give them enough credit. They take care of the routine items such as regular changing of air filters, smoke alarm testing, fire extinguisher check-ups, and preventative pest-spraying. All things that I would either forget about or wouldn't even think of. And of course they handle day-to-day repairs or maintenance requests. There is also an answering service for when the office is closed or otherwise unavailable. So regardless of what time you might call with something, you can always get a message to them. Even during lunch times, you can always reach someone. Generally speaking, if I call after hours it is to report something minor and I let them know they can get to it "whenever." Even so, they are usually on it the very next day. Over the many years, I have had a couple emergencies pop up. And in each case, regardless of whether it was on the weekend or in the dark of night, those guys were on it right away. They were there on a Sunday when my A/C went out. They were there in the bone-chilling temps of a couple years ago - at night - when the lock broke on my door and I couldn't get in. I don't want to make it sound like there is a lot of maintenance issues! Far from it. I just know that in the past when I have read reviews of apartments, they usually focused on all the bright, cheery, happy things - of which this complex also does well. But to me, the character of a good place to live is shown when things do not go quite as planned. And in that regard, Chauncey Village excels.
The apartment has very nice carpeting, and all utilities function well. Maintenance is on the spot and thorough with preventative measures as well as responsive action. Amenities (Pool, courts, etc.) are fair and staff is polite/helpful.
I'm a grad student at Purdue, and all I'm looking for is a relatively inexpensive place that's clean, well-kept, and quiet. This place gives me everything I need. The distance from campus isn't an issue because I have a car, and in the winter when I'd prefer not to drive, it's right next to the bus route. I've lived here for over a year, and I've only had a couple maintenance issues, which were fixed within a day or two. Not sure what else to say! I've found the place pleasant and definitely recommendable so far.
Been here almost 4 years.Don't plan on moving anytime soon. Management and maintenance are awesome.
This is a nice, spacious apartment with a great patio and outdoor space. It is very quiet, the other tenants are very considerate. The staff is great, they take of everything the day you call. My cat and I love it here.
I've lived in this complex for 14 years - in the same apartment for 13. Without-question I like it here and don't see myself moving any time soon. I'm sure you will read many great things about the property such as the amenities, services, and such. All great things of course, I certainly don't want to minimize them. I truly could not ask for a better home than the one I live in. The location in easily accessible to shopping, a bus line, food, or anything else you could need. The staff are not only helpful, but you can tell they care about their tenants. Finally, the apartment size is perfect for a single adult. Love the community and the apartment. Would and have recommended it to anyone who will listen.
We live in a 2 bedroom town home. Its really nice and the bedrooms are extremely spacious. The apartment manager is very nice and helpful. She lives in one of the apartments so she's always near if you need her for any reason. Maintanence is very helpful and they're always quick to get your apartment if you need something fixed. We've only lived here for a year but we love it and are definitely renewing our lease!
Chauncey village apartments are by far one of the best I have leased with. Maintenance makes sure to come as soon as you report a problem, whether it be a small water leak, a broken lock, or even just a blind that fell off the back door. The pools (they have a kiddy pool as well as a pool that goes up to nine feet) are always kept clean and made sure they are safe. They have a wonderful gym that you can use 24 hours if you want to get a 24 hour pass, or you can use it during regular business hours. They are very understanding about late rent, although they charge a late fee it is very reasonable. The laundry mat located in the office is also 24 hours and has a change dispenser, the room is also kept very clean as well. The office is great and has free wifi, a coffee machine and often time snacks as well! There is also a playground, basketball court, and tennis courts. The staff is super friendly and very helpful when you are looking into renting an apartment or townhome here in chauncey village apartments. I also love the fact that all the "common areas" aka office, laundry, gym, etc are monitored by cameras to ensure nothing is stolen and make sure no "bad" activity is going on. All in all i love chauncey village and plan on staying here for at least a few years!
