Has potential… Toured 2 different floor plans. Each building we went to the apartment was on the 3rd floor. Every flight we went up, there was garbage in front of most tenants doors. There was a disgusting mattress at the end of the hallway leading into the unit we were touring. The units themselves were not cleaned. Garbage and bottles on the floor. One unit still had furniture left over from previous tenant. The toilet and sink in the bathroom looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. My partner and I were shocked that we were allowed to tour apartments in such disarray. We did like the vaulted ceilings on top floors, it made the apartment appear bigger. They have potential to be nice units, however, we were not impressed with all the amount of garbage there was on each flight leading to units. (They could have garbage pickup and we just happened to be there before it was picked up). The pictures online made the apartment look nicer than it did in person. For the square footage the rooms are small and would not fit our king sized bed comfortably. Again, they do have potential but they were not what we were looking for.

I think I?m split in the middle on this because of the negative experience I had with the application process and the fact that after the headache I went through with trying to get this place, it wasn?t quite what I had expected it to be (based on the pictures and description online) and the unit wasn?t really even ready for us to move in when we did. Meanwhile the leasing office wouldn?t do any of the work to help resolve the background check issue and were threatening to cancel our application if we didn?t have a deposit paid ?soon? (at the time); as an alternative, they would allow us to move in with an increased security deposit (which we shouldn?t have had to do in the first place). This gave the impression that the office was unwilling to read the documentation provided, and/or were unwilling to do anything about it - unless we were willing to pay more money. Now that we have moved in, things seem fine. Again, maintenance has been quick to fix issues that have been reported and a lot of the issues from the application process are obviously no longer issues. However, given that our unit wasn?t really ready for us on move-in day (despite the seeming sense of urgency for us to either pay more money or risk losing the place) and the seeming disinterest with helping us as we moved in, it?s hard to recommend this community.

Adrian explained what and why each issue could be fixed or not as something?s couldn?t be fixed. He also explained when other vendors would have to be used, so I understood what issues might take longer to fix. The transparency was very informative. This makes the management feel trustworthy which gets my recommendation to live here.

Staff were friendly and the apartment was clean and freshly painted when we arrived. It was spacious and suited our needs. It was mostly a question of safety, and we didn't feel like we made many friends there, so didn't feel like there was a lot of "community". Also, a playground would be great for the kids so they aren't galivanting all over the parking lots.

Please Do NOT live here. When I first move in APT A- building. I found out there is the squeaking, popping, and crunching sound upstairs. This is because the wood floor upstairs is not fixed, so when the residents upstairs are walking there is a big noise which is annoying. And the worst thing, the neighbors upstairs told me he lived in my apt for four years and he already reported the issue to the leasing office and they never fix the problem. Now I am the one who suffers this. They just keep saying it is your issue. You need to stand this. What a terrible apartment.

I'm sad there' no playground and the indoor pool isn't heated so it' not really usable because it' FREEZING. I love the mature trees and the bedroom sizes tho!

Parking is a problem. Each unit should be assigned one covered spot. There were many that were never used.

I suggest that every apartment unit has assigned numbered parking space even on non-covered spots. This way, no outsiders or non-residents can park at night. I guess it's fair to every resident.

I have been living here 2 years, the amenities have gone down, the only property improvements were to install LED bulbs, the property itself is poorly maintained, windows are not cleaned EVER, and they dont clean the vents or chimney. They will, however, take a resident with ZERO complaints, and ALWAYS pays early, and jack their rents up on renewal. Although Stephanie is amazing as office staff, we havent had a manager, full office staff ir maintenance staff in over a year. So, dont come here expecting to get what you pay for, this is a pretty slim, and is degrading by the day.

Your staff has been awesome in the some 47 days we've been here. You need more dumpsters and a person to pick up trash on the grounds...(Which we do try to help out with that.)

Very old a lot of things are just worn and old. The drawers in the bathrooms don’t roll they are just sat in there. The closet doors tracks are old and need replace real bad. Tedious Little things like that. But over all it’s a fine place to live.

Many people came to this apartment because of the branding of being child friendly. However, the playground has been removed and the pool never works. The staff is friendly, but it is frustrating to hear something like the pool will be worked on and fixed when it is not.

I find this apt complex and location peaceful and neighborhood friendly. I have been here for 7 years now and I continue to enjoy my stay and I plan to renew when my lease expires. In fact, I just recommended a family member and they moved in last month.
The other residents are really loud around our complex with children right in the middle of the street to get to parking. They have very vulgar language and we can hear it because it echos really loud. The apartment even though had some minor issues is still nice and the rent is very affordable which I really like.

lack of parking, loud neighbors, different rules for different people. for instance I cannot smoke even 1 cigarette on my balcony but I see MANY others doing so.

I have lived here for 6 years. At first I moved in because the price, and quality of life in this complex was great. In the last 3 years the management AND ownership has changed atleast 3 times. This says something when a real estate company doesnt want to keep a property. The electrical work inside these apartments is shoddy, to the extent of having a small fire caused in the wall from the thermostat (I have pictures.) Along with numerous other issues, NOW I have been issued a warning that I have to change my renters insurance policy, mid-contract because the ownership changed the company they have manage their business insurance. This notice threatens me with a $50 fine if my insurance policy isnt changed within 2 weeks. (The letter says I am REQUIRED to submit these changes, yet i signed my AGREEMENT 9 months ago.). The legality of these actions is highly questionable in my opinion, and I would strongly urge anyone considering this complex to think twice about subjecting yourselves to this treatment.

So far the experience has been very satisfactory. Work orders have been filled immediately or within 48 hours. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. My apartment is cozy, clean and all in working order. The neighbors are friendly and for the most part quiet and respectful.
I would recommend it, but the parking is TERRIBLE. We can't have guests over and were forced to buy a carport because we have two cars and a baby, and parking near the office in the winter just wasn't feasible for us. Please do something about parking, even if it's just giving parking passes to residents and making guests park near the office or something.

The apartments are fine. Not a lot of storage. Being on the bottom floor I thought would be good but it?s been terrible w the neighbors above me. I hear them walking and they are up and home all the time. So loud! So I haven?t loved that part.

This will be my 5th year at Cedar Crest. I feel safe here at all hours of the night. It is well lit and patrolled by security. Staff enforces the rules which I like because it promotes being a considerate and good neighbor.
