Catalina West

In 10+ years of apartment living, this has been by far my worst experience. The apartment quality is very mediocre for their ever-increasing price. The plumbing doesn't work great, appliances are hit or miss, and the doors and windows leak. Management shows complete disregard for first responders and the importance of a quiet living space to rest as I have reported noise on multiple occasions with no resolution. I would certainly recommend looking elsewhere, especially if you value a peaceful living space.

I absolutely love living at Catalina West! The staff is extremely kind and cares about the needs of each resident. Maintenance is always quick to fill my request and I love hosting friends in my apartment. My favorite part about living here is the resident events that the staff offers to all residents. I highly recommend living here to all my friends!

Before I moved into Catalina West, I did a research about all other apartments such as Slide North, and The Renaissance and the Hudson and so on. Catalina West is for sure the one best in my mind. So I made my decision to live here. It's hard you not to love here after you visit here. It's also convenient to go to all popular markets in Lubbock. Highly recommend!

Best place I have lived at. The maintenance team is top notch as well as the leasing team. The location is near everything you essentially need and there is lots of parking surrounding the property. The units are clean and appliances are high quality. The only minor issues were the blinds/window screens that are in the units do not provide much privacy and other tenants do not pick up after their pets. Besides that, everything about Catalina West was great!

Great place to live at, great facilities and community!

I just moved out to Lubbock, and I wanted a nicer apartment this time around with safety as my #1 priority. I stumbled across Catalina West, and I fell in love with the layout of this apartment complex! I love how spacious the complex is and the modern rustic vibe they’re going with. My apartment is so precious, and all my friends and family always compliment it when they visit. I really appreciate the management team and of course the maintenance team. They always make sure to get my issues situated asap. I love everything about this apartment complex, and I finally found an apartment that feels like home to me. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

Favorite place I’ve ever lived! Quiet, no bugs, no maintenance issues, AC works great, prompt responses from management, plenty of parking, and nice landscaping. Lots of other residents from the hospital also live here. Easy access to work and shops. Wish I could stay!!

I have only lived at Catalina west for a few months now, but after living in lubbock for almost 6 years now, it is the best and most luxurious experience I have had! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and all the amenities are top tier. I was recommend to live here by a friend, and I would recommend Catalina west to anyone as well!

I have lived in Catalina West for the last 3 years now and pleasure to say it has been great. Yes, it is not the most affordable apartment in west loop but by far the nicest, highly maintained and most beautifully designed one. I live in the one bedroom apartment. My joy since moving in is the kitchen and the kitchen island. The open modern concept is inviting and gives a true feel of spaciousness. Highly recommend for busy young folks who wants to enjoy a quiet, safe and luxurious living in Lubbock.

We’ve always had issues with any other apartment complex we’ve lived in but Catalina has been one of the best experiences. We’ve never had issues with anything and whenever we request maintenance they’re always on top of it. If you’re looking for a great place to live in Lubbock this would be it! -Mahsheed Hussain

My roommate and I have lived here for about three years, and we have never had any serious issues or complaints! The staff is very friendly and is quick to answer any concerns or questions I may have. The space is so roomy and really just feels like home!

I’ve been living in Catalina wedt for over 6 months now and love everything about it! Very helpful management, friendly neighbors and employees. The size of the apartment is perfect, the bedroom sizes and everything about the apartment is everything I was looking for in my apartment. Very clean gym and nice size pool area! Also love that they have a dog park easy access for my dog to play around when not wanting to drive somewhere. Overall the best apartment complex!

We love living here! It was very clean when we moved in, the apartments are nice, the location is awesome, and they put on events every once in awhile that are fun. Our only complaint is that maintenance is a little slow and the entertainment room is not accessible to residents. Overall very happy with these apartments!

The quality of living is very high for such a great value! The gym is well stocked with high quality equipment for any type of workout, and the maintenance team is the best I have experience while living in any apartment complex.

I love living at Catalina West the staff is really helpful and the apartment are the nicest in Lubbock by far. Maintenance is super responsive. The pool is beautiful. There are great electric grills and fire pits all through the complex for residence to use. The gym is very nice including two peloton bikes. The complex is also very safe I feel safe walking around at all hours of the day and night. 10/10 recommend living here.

I have been living at Catalina West for 2 years now and I can say that I recommend it! The major pros are attentive maintenance and modern facilities. The apartment is also spacious. The big con is that rent continues to rise here annually, although that is happening all over Milwaukee. Overall, I am happy here.

The facilities and property look nice to the eye, though we had our AC go out twice, had other issues with the water, and our unit was dirty when we moved in. Unfortunately, the pool is overrun by college students who don't live on site, and management is unresponsive to issues and tries to manipulate money out of you. A month after we moved out, I received an email from management saying that they wanted me to pay to replace all the carpet (which was only two small bedrooms), but the amount they were asking me to pay was suspiciously large. I asked for receipts and invoices of said work being performed and also a section in my now expired lease stating that I legally have to pay anything beyond my security deposit. In response, all I got from Xavier was, "I will send you to collections if you don't pay." It is sad to say that Catalina West by Asken Properties is no "luxury apartment". In fact, it is just an overpriced apartment complex with over-run facilities and shady management with a pretty layer of makeup on it. I would consider finding another place to rent!
