Casa really feels like a community of friends. Everyone is friendly and caring - not like an apartment complex at all. It feels like home. It's just what I wanted in my retirement - and with no need to cook or clean! There much fancier places that not only cost a great deal more, but are very much less friendly. Even the staff have become good friends.
Management listens to their residents to resolve any problems that come up pertaining to our food, entertainment, and well being. Best choice we ever made was Casa Del Rio.
With all the activities, the buffets and entertainment there is never a boring day at CDR... Unless you prefer it...
We are a small enough group to be on a first name basis. We meet and learn first names easily, share meals together, visit in community areas inside and outside the buildings. The car and/or bus will take us to necessary appointments. Our family and/or friends can have dinner with us in our dining room.
This is a laid back, comfortable, clean, and friendly place that really cares about you and your needs. It’s not so “hoity-toity” as the more expensive places - people don’t put on “airs”.
Like most men there was no way I was going to leave my home, regardless how many times I fell doing my daily chores. As time went by, I heard more horrific stories of my close friends getting hurt. I started listening to my wife and finally on June 2021, we decided to move to CDR and to be served... And that was awesome! It did wonders for my wife as I had no idea she was such a "social butterfly". And now, every day is special for both of us!
My dad and his wife have never been happier with their living situation. Casa Del Rio takes great care of them
I am happy here. I am content within my own space. I do not need or want to be entertained. I like most other people here, they are very friendly.

At this time I have three people interested in moving here. I am quite happy here. staff is exceptional and work very hard at providing us what we need. While lacking the staff to provide full coverage and do many extra jobs that are usually not in their job description. I feel we are a family here. The furniture provided for us old people is truly being changed to NOT suit our needs. Whats that all about!

This is the friendliest apartment that I have ever had before. Very easy to make friends, beautiful landscaping and very helpful office personnel.

We have a lot of friends who are our age (or close) who went to other independent living communities. Most of then have less service and also do not seem to have the same friendly very helpful staff that we have at Casa Del Rio...and none of them have the great convenient location that we enjoy. We are close to shopping, hospital, doctors, dentists...all the things we need from time to time. And when we cannot feel like making the trip, we have excellent drivers for car and bus to do our shopping or getting to other appointments. And the entire staff is a great group of very professional but very friendly people in all areas of their service. That alone will keep us at Casa Del Rio...and they are the main reason I recommend Casa Del Rio to my friends.

Casa is a very cheerful, clean, caring community. Food good but service in dining room could be better.
After living at Casa for over 5 years, I can honestly say that my wife and I made the right decision when we chose the Casa over other places in this area. And now that the virus has changed the lives of all of us, we KNOW that we made the right decision. The entire staff at Casa Del Rio are wonderful caring people and they have protected us and kept us comfortable during this very stressful time. We could not ask for anything better.
We are heading into our 4th year. There's always something that one doesn't agree with the way things are done, but it would be the same at any Senior Community, I'm sure. I have found that, in most cases, speaking to the Director or Asst. Director may not always solve the problem, but at least they know my feelings bout the situation.
Recently, I was in the hospital and rehab facility for over 4 weeks. During that time, my wife was alone in our apartment. However, each time I called her, she told me how one or more of the Casa staff had helped her...and how they checked on her every day. That gave me peace of mind as well as comfort and care for my wife.
Have been very happy here. The entire staff has been excellent in handling any situation.
Do not move in to Casa Del Rio. They have terrible food and the service to my apartment is hit and miss. Today I had to call for my breakfast delivery twice, and then when it came out was the wrong meal. I asked for scrambled eggs, but was delivered a large cinnamon roll. I do not eat carbs unless it is the only or better of the two options.
Casa Del Rio is my home, not an apartment, but my home. Julie Campbell is someone we trust and know if we have a concern, it is taken care of immediately with excellent follow up. We just signed another lease and had no thought of being anywhere than at Casa Del Rio- WE LOVE IT HERE!
95% is a good rating, I think. There are several issues that need to be taken care of that the powers that be in Michigan seem to be ignoring. People are great, staff is great, some problems with the food being served not being palatable some of the time, but again, most of the time is good.
I love my apartment and the food is very good. The dining room staff is very good and so are the staff at the front desk
Casa Del Rio is a hidden oasis. We feel blessed to live here as we know we are well taken care of by staff & would NOT contemplate other living arrangements. We love living here!

The grounds are exceptional. Staffing is personable & more like extended family. When we enter the front entrance we are always greeted with " Welcome Home". We should have moved to Casa Del Rio 10 years ago!
Needs to hire, pay well and keep chef. Needs to respect chef and give him authority to run kitchen and the staff under him

My family is all out of state and refer to Casa as my "Goldmine in the desert" and I do consider myself so very lucky to have met you all.
We find that our needs are always met in a timely fashion and the entre staff here are friendly and efficient.
The physical plant is attractive. Apartments are attractive and the rent charged is affordable. The staff and management seems to have a high turnover. Meals are he same week after week, verity would be helpful. Better communications with the residents would improve the atmosphere.
For the price, food and amenities, you can't beat Casa del Rio
NO problems at all, am happy to say that this is HOME!!!!
As stated before, the staff is a wonderful group of people. They are always kind and helpful and sometimes I know this can be hard. I could not ask for a better group of people.
We moved in a year ago February and love it. The people are so very friendly here as is all of the staff. Our apartments are very nice, the food and service is 99% good, maintenance is great. Not much negative points. I do wish, though, that there was more decoration throughout the different lobbies. There are chairs and a table generally on each floor close to the elevators and they are totally bare of decorations. That part makes it look like an institution. I've been in other retirement communities and they all have silk flowers, etc. and it really brightens up the place. It really needs it here. The tables in the dining room and activity rooms are pretty worn, too. We have new chairs which is great. When we first looked at Casa Del Rio, the dining room decorations were wonderful. The new wall decor and carpeting is 'different'. On a whole, we're very happy here and hope to stay for a good long time. Thank you.
