Okay so listen, this place is one of the best looking apartments in the area but our experience was not that great. We lived there for only a few months and the fire alarm went off twice, also the pool is being redone so both pools are unavailable. We wanted to rent there because of the pool so that was such a disappointment. Then when we decided to move out they through a bunch of charges on us. So it’s nice while it last but yikes never again.

I would not recommend that anyone choose to live here and here’s why: like others have stated, unfortunately, it seems like management doesn’t really care about their residents who pay a good chunk of money to live there. The pool table and darts board are basically unavailable for use unless you’ve purchased your own equipment due to vandalism and (as of writing this) extremely limited office hours. The indoor pool will be down for at least the next 6 months and was down for more than three months before when we moved in and both pools have been down for several days each month for the 6 months that we lived there. They will tell you that the amenities “aren’t included in the rent” and that there will be no rent discounts for the amenities being broken” which is bs because we all know that we pay for the amenities. There have been multiple incidents where vandals have triggered the fire alarm system early in the morning hours. It doesn’t really seem like they take security very seriously either as there are multiple key fob readers that do not function as they should. If you are someone who has a handicap placard in your vehicle, good luck finding a parking spot because the handicap spots are not enforced and are frequently used by vendors and people moving in and out and when I brought this to the attention of staff they did nothing about it. And there has been an elevator that has been broken for three months. They also don’t really do anything for programming other than bringing a couple food trucks to the parking lot over lunch time, sometimes. Basically, if you want to live in a college dorm hall outside of college, live here.

Great facility while you are living there but terrible move out experience. I cleaned really well and even rented a carpet cleaner prior to moving out but they added all these cleaning fees and claimed of a smoke smell when I don’t smoke. Unbeknownst to me, I moved in after traveling from Ohio so I never saw the unit before I moved in. They rented me a unit where the previous dog had peed all over the carpet. I noticed faded colored areas of the carpet when I moved in but assumed wear and tear. Anyway, they claimed my dog had peed there and charged me for carpet replacement when I moved out. I tried fighting it but they threatened to ruin my credit so I paid the money for peace of mind. Be very careful to inspect and document if you move in there. I did this but still didn’t help. Be very wary. Terrible experience

Increases in rent yearly are understandable.... but $60+ a year, not cool yo! Getting a canned response from the manager is all you will get if you question it. (good luck even getting ahold of Brook if you need something.) No one answer the phone! The maintenance guys both come into your apartment at the same time to fix things. Apparently it takes 2 people for everything? Creeps me out. Dogs barking constantly, loud noises in the hallway and parties in the pool every night. Community living has been much better elsewhere.
Was communicated with staff that we didn’t want showings in our apartment due to covid in general. We were told that was fine. Then we were contacted and told there was a showing coming so of course, my roommate agreed because he didn’t think he had a choice. Tried to email higher-ups. Of course, never the office staff’s fault. Thankful we moved out when we did. Used to love it! Changing my rating from a 5 star to a 1.
I have lived here for over a year now. The past 2 months have been terrible. Good luck getting a hold of someone in the office, they don't return calls. They aren't open the hours posted and there typically isn't a sign to let you know they are closed. I've asked to speak to the manager several times and haven't heard back from her. The pool is filthy on the weekends and is just a big party place. The halls and maintenance aren't kept up like they once were. Pride is no longer taken in this place and it is a shame. I was once happy to say I lived at Cardinal Point. I can no longer say that.

Good luck reaching someone in the office. They are NEVER there and don't asnwer the phones. Hours posted are incorrect. Place used to be well kept, residents were well informed and staff was friendly. This is no longer the case. I will be moving out!

This is the best place in Grand Forks when you compare with your options in the area. On site staff are great Facilities are kept clean and grounds are nice You more likely to have a better view than the other apartments The price point for the amenities and quality

Grounds are kept clean. Rules are enforced. Nice neighbours. Front staff fantastic. Rent prices about average but keep on creeping up. Wall AC unit is lame. Some (?all) 1bdr dont have AC in the bedroom, no mind in winter, but those summer months can be hell trying to cool the room, just FYI. Amenities are nice.

I am so extremely happy with my choice to live at Cardinal Point apartments. I went from owning to renting and was nervous about the choice. I have heard so many stories of horrible management and I am excited to report I have had nothing but an amazing experience. They are so so on top of everything here. It's clean, well maintained and management, maintenance, and cleaning crews are all just so wonderful. I had an issue with my dishwasher leaking water - I let the girls in the office know and I had someone here and the dishwasher fixed within hours of reporting it. Each one of them, Jaycee, Heather - maintenance - they are all top-notch - and very kind, caring people, they make you feel welcomed and valued as a tenant. I also love the community feel within the complex as well. Its quiet, people are all friendly, the amenities are WONDERFUL - especially the pools. I feel safe here as well knowing there are cameras around the common areas. Very needed as a single mamma of a little girl. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I would most definitely recommend Cardinal Point Apartments.

Cardinal Point has been my home for the last 5 years by choice. When I first moved into the complex, it was brand new and immaculately cared for. The office staff is always helpful and the community of neighbors are respectful and kind. We love the amenities (gyms, theatre rooms, pools!) and above all else our specific unit. Being on the 4th floor, we have vaulted ceilings that make our apartment feel like a true home. There are several windows that let in beautiful natural light. These are 2 factors that are hard to find in apartment living. The only downside I have is that the air conditioning is wall unit based (1 per room) rather than central air. Each year when it’s time to renew our lease we look at other apartments in town and considering purchasing a house, however, each year we find ourselves back here because we feel “we’ve got it made.” No yard upkeep or homeowner maintenance issues! And we love being on the south end of Grand Forks where there are bike paths, great neighborhoods, and great schools all within walking distance.

I don't know where to start with how much I love living here at Cardinal Point apartments. I've lived in a few apartments throughout the years and none compare with this place. Our family sold our house that we lived in for over a decade, and we decided to move into an apartment instead of buying another house at this time. Before we moved to Grand Forks, we lived in an apartment in another town. Right away, we questioned whether moving into an apartment was the right choice. I won't go into all the things we didn't like about that place. However, when we moved to Grand Forks, we chose Cardinal Point. We are super happy with that decision. The office staff are friendly and helpful. The maintenance team is very responsive with requests. In our experience when we've put in maintenance requests, they've come within an hour or so during the week. Very impressed with them. The gentleman who I see cleaning around the building on a daily basis does a wonderful job. Most people who live here are respectful of communal living spaces, but there's always a certain percentage of slobs. When there is a mess somewhere, it never stays around for long. Our apartment itself is very comfortable. We have a ton of counter space for cooking. The appliances are newer and work well. The walls are pretty thick, so we don't run into noise issues. Our deck isn't huge, but it's nice to have another option to go and relax and drink coffee in the morning. We have a three bedroom and the layout gives us plenty of opportunities to have our own personal space, so we don't feel too close for comfort. Our front door is recessed from the hallway, which helps control sound from travelling down the hall. I feel comfortable at night when I let our dog out. The amenities here have been a solace for me over these past months. The workout room (they have two) is quite large and the have many machines and dumbbells. Working out is so good for releasing stress. This place also has a gym with a basketball hoop in good condition. The pool area is excellent. The pool is a good size, and the hot tub is huge. We soak in the warmth of relaxing bubbles on a weekly basis. The great thing about all of these amenities is you don't have to leave the building to enjoy them. I could keep going, but if you've made it this far, I hope you understand that the quality of this place is definitely worth looking into. Maybe we'll see you around!

This place is fantastic! We sold our home before our new home was finished being built so we needed to rent an apartment for 5 months while we waited. We have two younger kids and a small dog so being in an apartment wasn’t ideal, but this place has made the transition a breeze! There is so much to offer at this apartment from the indoor/outdoor swimming pool to the two weight rooms to keep our exercise routine going and even a gym/rec area for the kids to burn off energy. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The employees have been fantastic. They are extremely kind and make you feel like family. The maintenance staff is on top of any issue we’ve encountered right away. The lobby is always kept very clean and tidy. Overall it’s just a perfect place to call home and I’m happy we chose here for our family.

This community is nice. The have nice amenities. But I would say the apartments are not what you pay for. They do not have a central air conditioning. Also the front desk staff are not very well spoken. I mean not all of them but some of them are rude. And the cleaners here are extremely rude. Overall, I would say it's a nice community except some rude mannered staffs.

Lived here from the start for two years in two different floor plans, went and bought a house, that wasn’t for us and came back because of the atmosphere of the workers and their willingness to help us out however they can!!! Would recommend!!

I have lived at Cardinal Point Apartments for almost 2 years. Living in this community has been a positive experience. The Management staff and maintenance have been fantastic. My maintenance needs are completed within the same day. The guys are friendly, polite and professional. When I call or stop by the office I am always greeted by my name and very helpful with any of my needs. The property overall is always kept clean. Very comfortable having guest come to my home to visit me. My daughter and I love it!!

The apartment itself is incredibly comfortable and beautiful! A perfect balance between everyday simplicity and quality, high end cabinets, counter tops, and flooring(nothing better than that soft carpet in the winter!) Beyond the apartment comes the entire complex, but I'd much rather call it a community! Enjoying time in the games room, theatre room, or hottub while meeting other residents is a wonderful opportunity after a hard day at work! There isn't much else, if anything, cardinal point could further do to enhance the quality of life all residents enjoy here!

We were in the process of buying a house when it fell through and this place was by far the best place to live that we found. These people worked with us and within just a few days, had keys to our new apartment. Lots of friendly people living here and lots of great amenities. We are living at Cardinal Point until our home is being built. The staff have been so great to work with us and are always quick to answer any questions we may have. The pool is amazing for our four children. They love the gym and the game rooms. We have already met other tenants and everyone is very friendly. We also love that it is pet friendly and everyone takes such good care of their animals around the apartment complex. We are happy to be here and this is a wonderful temporary home for us!

I just moved into cardinal point this past month. So far I am loving my experience here. This is my first time living in a studio and it is perfect for me. I have more space than what I imagined I would have. Coming from Ohio I was basing everything off of the posted floor plans. Moving in was easy. Halls are very wide and elevator is huge which made it so we didn’t have to carry any furniture up the stairs. A three seat couch and all my queen sized bed set were able to fit in it. With being on the third floor it made two girls carrying everything in much easier. Staff in the office are all very nice. The heated parking garage is perfect for the winters to come and pools and gyms are great for keeping you busy when you don’t actually want to leave the apartment. Great location and great apartment over all. Would highly recommend.

I moved in recently and can't say enough great things about this place. The staff is friendly, the building is clean and our apartment is spacious. I toured a lot of complexes in Grand Forks and found nothing that even compared to Cardinal Point. The upgraded fixtures are awesome. Only down fall is wall AC units but at least I have two in my apartment. Parking is included with rent was us a big plus for my husband. I am so happy to be here.

We have lived here for about a year (I think.. we have signed to extend our lease a couple times after the inital renewal because we love it so much). Our apartment is modern but homey. There is so much to do in this complex...gymnasium, movie rooms, game rooms, community room, work out rooms, in door out and out door pool, plus little coves with couches and tvs or fire places in the main lobby with tons of places to get comfortable. Most of our neighbors have been great and everything is built so well that I seldom even hear our neighbors, which is great because then I don't have to worry as much about our little ones. The front office is filled with supet sweet folks who are always friendly and helpful. There are various events that we love so much like an egg hunt for easter, door decorating contests at Halloween, Santa visits at Christmas plus they leave cute notes and treats on our doors and a surprise for our birthdays. We continue living here and will until we build a house because it is a little community that has made us feel at home Cons: *the underground parking temperature control is not the greatest *people don't do the best with pets and at times the elevators are smelly *there is no convince store in the building

Our time at Cardinal Point was fantastic, when our house was sold and our new house wasnt ready we started looking at apartments. The apartment itself was very nice, but what made our time there the best was the pool, the gym and a personal favorite the heated parking. With 2 active kids, having an area for them to get out and burn some energy was priceless. We recently moved out and my son keeps asking if we can go back because he wants to play hockey in the gym.

Cardinal Point has been a great first home for me having recently moved to the area. The staff and maintenance all are timely in responding to any questions, concerns or problems. The facility itself, offers a wide range of amenities that I find myself using more frequently than not. What is also a biggie for me is how the maintenance staff stays on top of the weather, clearing out the snow so it's not a lot when you're getting to work in the morning. Also, having the option to reserve specific rooms for group gathering, conference and parties is a big bonus and reasonable priced! Overall, I'm very glad I made the choice I did because I love my home at Cardinal Point!

We have lived in multiple IRET properties and this is by far the best! Truly feels like home, it is quiet and the neighbors have been friendly and helpful. The apartments are beautiful and spacious (so much so that our place is now the go to for extended family events) and the amenities are amazing! All of the staff are super friendly and willing to go out of their way to be available to assist and make the residents feel special with little gifts or events/drawings. No plans on moving anytime soon!

This is our first time Renting with IRET at Cardinal Point. The apartments and amenities are amazing, we are in love with our new home! My parents had never lived in an apartment before we moved here and were really weary of trying it. Now I don’t think they will ever leave Cardinal Point! While we were searching we loved the variety of floor plans available to choose from and the staff was super friendly and helpful even though wer came back to view again and again. We the the amenities here, the pool is great, but the huge hot tub is even better. They also make you feel appreciated here. They go the extra mile with little gifts and notes that make you feel like more than a paycheck. And in the winter the heated garage is a blessing! My parents love it, and being an apartment veterin myself, I’ve never lived in better!

We have lived at Cardinal Point since June 2018. I previously owned a home so was a bit concerned about moving into an apartment. I have been pleasantly surprised at the lack of noise in the building. The apartment is nice with updated appliances and amenities. We love that Cardinal Point has an indoor and outdoor pool, a hot tub, game room, theater room, workout rooms, indoor basketball gym and the community room available for residents. When my family come to visit, there is always something to do! Any time we have had a concern, the office staff is quick to respond. The girls in the office have always been pleasant and easy to work with. Maintenance does a great job of making sure sidewalks are clear during winter weather and have been quick to make any repairs that we have needed in our apartment. Overall we have been very pleased with Cardinal Point and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home. Please keep in mind that it IS an apartment building. There is going to be some noise due to neighbors above, below and beside you. (However we rarely hear our neighbors) There ARE children in the building. There ARE pets in the building. Just like any home, things sometimes quit working or something breaks. We have enjoyed living in an apartment where the maintenance and upkeep is taken care of. No yard to mow, snow to shovel, etc. Thank you Cardinal Point staff for all that you do to make us feel at HOME.
