You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Beyond what apartment/shared living should allow being heard. A pretty place to live but irritating.
Beautiful place, perfect setting, great for walks, quiet, and still close to everything we need. The unit both interior and exterior are new and fresh, great pool, spa, and workout room. Destiny took great care of us, walked us through everything each step of the way.
My husband and I have been living in the Canyon Oaks Apartments since June 2023 and have absolutely zero plans of moving anytime soon. The team here is absolutely incredible. Yes, there have been some management changes, but I have always felt taken care of as a resident, and everyone has been incredible to work with! Quick shout out to Destiny in the main office - she is a hoot! I love getting to chat with her, and she is super helpful in regard to all things involving the property. Speaking of the property, talk about a beautiful and peaceful place to live! There are a lot of dogs that live on the property, but we have never had a bad experience with any of them being too loud or anything like that. The pool, fitness center, and clubhouse spaces are fantastic, and it is a quick 10-minute walk over to the Paradise Ridge tasting room. If it wasn't clear already, my husband and I both truly love where we live and recommend it to everyone.
My daughter and I lived in a Scarlet floor plan on the 3rd floor overlooking Paradise RIdge winery vineyards and LOVED it.... We had sunset views every evening... STUNNING....The apartment spatial plan was perfect, the grounds are well kept, the amenities are a wonderful offering.... I appreciated the strict protocol that applied to parking and pets, it made for lovely grounds and uncluttered parking lot when not parking in the garage during the day... It is expensive and worth it, the quality of life living at Canyon Oaks is elevated and I happily paid for that. We would still be renting there but purchased a condo.... Made lots of friends and will visit often!
Nothing says “Welcome” like getting our car towed on the second night after moving in, *despite the fact that we’re PAYING FOR A GARAGE AND PARKING SPOT*, because management wouldn’t give us a parking permit since we only had one car. You read that correctly: we’re paying $$$$ for a 3-bedroom and got our car towed because we did *not* have a second car. The cruelty of needing to find our way to the tow yard during a pandemic should not go unnoticed. Also worth noting that 75% of the public parking spots are sitting empty. This entire episode is totally unnecessary; seeing the responses from management on other reviews, my guess is their response here will be “too bad so sad”. Avoid like the plague.
Despite the high rent being charged at this so-called "luxury" apartment complex, residents are not treated like valued customers as they should be. Frequent accusations from management toward the residents are made. Notices are continuously being attached to all residents' doors blaming them for a multitude of issues: recycling items not bagged correctly; packages not picked-up soon enough; parking rules not being followed properly; dog issues at the dog park. Fines are threatened by the management if the residents won't adhere to the constant barrage of rules being dictated to them. It is reminiscent of elementary school, despite the expensive rent being paid by the residents. The amenities that the residents are paying so much for have been closed for months: the gym, the pool, clubhouse access. No offer of a rebate or rent reduction to the residents has been made in exchange for the loss of these amenities. Overall, there is an obvious disdain by the management directed toward the residents in this complex. This is not acceptable in a complex billing itself as a "luxury apartment complex".
We have lived at Canyon Oaks for a year now. We are very happy here. The grounds are well kept, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Danielle in the office always has a smile and is ready to help with whatever you need. They plan fun community events every month. It's a nice community to live at.
Don't let the beautiful property fool you, this place is a joke. Nothing but problems from day one. Refridgerator needed to be fixed 6 times, the dryer was replaced twice and repaired several more times. Each time the people who showed up were rude and caused damage to the walls and floors. They even searched everyone's garages one day just to be nosey and look for things to complain about. You will also pay about $100 month for garbage pickup and management must never pay the bill because the garbage is always full so everyone throws trash on the ground for weeks at a time until it's picked up. I have seen rats all over the dumpster area. I have made it clear to the property manager that my dogs are old and don't tolerate strangers. Knowing this, they came in unannounced anyway because the neighbors had a leak in their unit so they wanted to check mine. This caused one of my dogs, that is worth $3000 to suffer a seizure and then have a stroke. I had to put her down a couple of days later while property management was threatening to evict me for not wanting to relocate while they spent days repairing my unit which was now full of mold from the faulty AC unit. Now, several weeks later, on Labor Day weekend, the problems continue. I now have a leak in my ceiling and the evil property manager will not wait till after the holiday weekend to fix it. Now my holiday weekend plans are shot as I sit here waiting for a plumber and probably more threats of eviction if I don't move out while the repairs. My requests for a rent reduction for all the inconveniences and money they are costing me have been ignored. I can't wait for my lease to end, what a nightmare!
Beautiful community. Beautiful viewa and so peaceful. I love that the golf course is near by, and there are nice sidewalks outside of the community to take relaxing evening strolls in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to 101. Smaller community, good quality, and excited to see the completion. The fitness center has state of the art equipment. Just put my deposit down and can’t wait to live in a brand new community.
