Apartment Reviews at Campus East
Great apartment, Has been living in here for almost 2 years
I have been living in campus east for almost 2 years. It is really quiet especially when you want to study. There is also an swimming pool. It is great during the summer. When you have trouble in you apartment you can directly contact with them and ask for help. All those people that i have meet is really great. Thank for Campus East!
Bigger than expected
The apartments are large and spacious with relatively good lighting. The bathrooms and kitchen are a little dated but still clean and better than most other places in town. The sound insulation is not good so hope for quiet neighbors. The parking is controlled so its not normally a problem unless there is a big university function. Good walking distance to the University of Kansas State and Aggieville. All in all a good place to live.
Actually Very Decent Apartment For Cheap at Campus East, Manhattan, KS
My fiancé and I just moved to Manhattan, KS from Philadelphia to attend Kansas State University. We were originally just looking for cheap apartments and we thought we were just getting cheap when we signed the lease for Campus East but we ended up getting a very decent place. Campus East will boast about their pool - which is ok if you're into that sort of thing and have time to swim, but what my fiancé and I think are the best traits about this apartment complex is the space (sq. ft. Per dollar) and PEACE AND QUIET. We brought a pet over and paid a pet fee for having it (there is no required monthly payment for pet) and are enjoying the great living room, kitchen, bedroom and closet space that comes with this apartment. There is so much room for activities! The other perk I mentioned about peace and quiet lies in their noise policy rules on e lease. It basically states that you have two strikes before you can be kicked from the apartment for causing noise violations. This means that we never hear anybody, literally, never in this complex, we never see anybody, it's basically like we are here, alone, which is what most people prefer when living in an apartment. This is great because people at college like to party but others prefer the quiet to study and read, well Campus East is right for you if you like those things. Campus East is also a block from campus, so walking distance is prime and nobody wastes any gas or anything. The building also has a great maintenance team who are friendly and very good at solving any problem you have in the apartment. This helps a lot when you accidentally snap something off, they are good at getting it fixed.
Campus East Apartments - Kansas State University
If you are looking to get as close to campus as possible then this is the perfect place. I have lived here since 2011 and have never wanted to leave. It has a great pool and on site laundry. I wouldn't live anywhere else. Its a great apartment with a great view of the grassy area behind my apartment. This is the best place close to campus.
Campus East Apartments
This complex is in a prime location that is about a minute walk from the beginning of the K-State campus. The complex itself is pretty old so you can see that in some areas but I think that gives it character and even though it's old, you can't tell from the rooms. The rooms are quite nice and my studio apartment is EXTREMELY spacious.
nothing ever gets fixed. Appliances from the 70’a. No one is trained in the job. Most apartments are completely trashed. Our apartment flooded twice. We couldn’t use the dishwasher because the wires were frayed and it wouldn’t fit in the kitchen. Fridge broke and the swapped it with next door but it faced opposit to the way the kitchen faced. Toilets barely flushed. Carpet was stained everywhere. Kitchen floor had mold. Front door was kicked in but never fixed. Outside door had no door handle outside and no lock inside. I could go on forever. Don’t move here
Deserves a 0 for management
Been living in the complex for half a year, been through 3 or 4 different on site managers. Our last manager even told us that the previous manager filled out the lease wrong and forced us to resign. We had several maintenance issues and had to get the city involved in order to actually get things fixed.
Don't move here!
Showed up on move in day to a terrible apartment. In a state of disrepair and diirty, the apartment was not ready to be lived in. Pretty sure the stove and oven predates my parents (they are in their 50s) and the shower was moldy. Luckily the management recently changed so the lease was void, so I left.
Campus East Apartments
Campus East is a great place for students to live. It's an easy ten minute walk to campus, traffic is light by the apartments, and the rent is very affordable. The buildings are older and by no means fancy, but management has responded quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests. Oftentimes when I'm walking to class, Campus East employees will have a booth set up, giving away free hot dogs, cookies, and even shirts!
Campus East Single Bedroom Apartment
For a single bedroom apartment this one is a pretty decent size and its only a 10 minute walk from the K-State campus and Aggieville. The living room is carpeted has enough space for a couch, a small dinner table, an arm chair, and a few end tables, leaving plenty of open floor space. There is small bar with enough room to seat two people. It also has a door that opens onto a small outdoor patio. The kitchen is fairly small, with very little counter space. There are a lot of cabinets, the ones above the fridge are hard to reach if you aren't very tall. Some of the cabinets that are under the counter are very narrow, making it tricky to fit larger pots and pans inside. The other cabinets fit plates, cups, mugs, and bowls very nicely. The stove is ancient, it works, but it does take a little getting used to. There is a microwave and a dishwasher, however you have to hook the dishwasher up to the sink, which is more of a hassle than it is a help when it comes to cleaning up I my opinion. The bedroom is carpeted as well and it has plenty of space, with a queen sized bed we still have plenty of room to walk around. There is also a great closet, about 5 ft. x 5 ft., it has two shelves and two bars for hangers, leaving a ton of space for shoes and clothes. The bathroom is pretty small but it serves its purpose. There is not a lot of counter space, so if you have a lot of stuff you like to keep on your counters you will have to get used to keeping it else where. There is a little medicine cabinet with a sliding door that is very nice and a large cabinet under the sink that will help de-clutter the small counter. If you decide to rent this apartment you will definitely want to invest in some lamps because both the living room and the bedroom only have one light fixture. During the day the window in the bedroom lets in a ton of light even if you keep the blinds closed, but at night the one light can sometimes seem a little dim. The same goes for the living room, if you like having the blinds open all day then great, but once it gets dark an extra light or two will definitely help. As for other storage space there is a large closet in entry way with several shelves and a bar to hang coats. There is another small closet in the kitchen as well. Overall I would say that this apartment is fairly nice for a college student. It is by no means fancy but it will get the job done.
Campus East is very much a "college apartment" complex. It is comfortable and feels homey, but has some slight issues. The kitchen and bathroom are very old. My oven is from the 1980's. There is only one laundry room for one building, which holds 18 apartments.Lastly, the parking lot looks like a fault line is under it. Aside from these things, it is very nice. They layout of the one bedroom I have is very fun and roomy. The walk from Campus East to campus is very short. Finally, it is affordable for someone on a budget.
Campus East Apartments
It is a great college apartment. Great layout, spacing out each section of the apartment. Less than 10 minute walk from campus and just down the street from Aggieville.
Campus East Review
Campus East is an exceptional apartment complex for college students. The K-State campus is right within perfect walking distance from the apartments. The architecture of the complex feels very homey and the scenery around it sets up a very peaceful mood. There is also a pool within it that helps complete the image of Campus East. The Landlords are also very helpful and lenient which is different from most apartments. Overall, I'm very glad I chose to live here!
The Campus East apartments have great space, are quiet and comfortable, and conveniently located!
Perfect for College Students
If you are looking for an apartment close to both campus and Aggieville, the Campus East Apartments is the place to be at. Only a 4-6 minute walk from campus and a nice 10 minute walk from Aggieville, Campus East is one of the most central apartments you will find around Manhattan. On warm summer days (as well as good days on any other season!), you can find young college students chilling and basking under the sun by the pool, or on their nice patios enjoying the fresh air. For college students as well as growing families, these apartments are really worth the price. The rooms are actually quite spacious and it is easy to keep maintained and cleaned. Depending on which building and room you choose, you can find the best options for whatever you are looking for. There are fireplaces, nice kitchen islands, and walk in closets. It is a great place for college students looking for some place nice, homey, as well as affordable.
Awesome apartment complex
This has been the first apartment complex I've lived in, and I think it has been great so far. It is within a short walk to the K-State campus which is perfect and it is in short distance to my job. It was a clean apartment when I moved in and the management is friendly. They really helped with questions and their maintenance does a great job of keeping up on the lawn. I have been very happy with living here and I can see us staying here for multiple years to come.
Oldie but Goodie
The campus east apartments are an old apartment complex that offers close proximity to the ag section of the KSU campus and a mini nature oasis! Not only is there a large pool with plenty of lay out space there is also many trees and because of the way the complex is set up you get the feeling that you are in your own little nature area. I have enjoyed having the location though the management could use some work. The maintenance staff is always stretched and because the complex is so old things are always breaking. The management did rent out from under me without my consent because I didn't renew the lease five months early. Other than that the experience has been OK!
Great For Students
This is the perfect grouping of apartments, located 2-3 minutes walking distance from Kansas State University. The neighborhood is loaded with other students, and is also very close to good 'ol Aggieville! The apartments are spacious, and we even have a pool. There's tons of great landscaping, and lots of space on the deck. It's a quaint property located in the heart of a college town, yet quiet enough to enjoy the nature and outdoors around you.
