Was changed $900 for carpet that I cleaned with a professional cleaner before I left the apartment. A year later I got a letter from collections saying I owed them money for carpet. Good thing I had pictures of the carpet but they are still saying I owe money. Save yourself the headache and don’t move there. Their manager is very rude and will cuss you out on the phone.

I lived at Calibre Woods for about 18 months. I enjoyed walks in the woods, the gym, tennis the outdoor pool and living next to Toco Hills shopping center with restaurants, 2 grocery stores, a place to get a haircut, etc. The apartments and grounds and clean and well-kept. Apartments are spacious. New laundry on site, or you can hook it up in your apt. The maintenance staff is friendly and helpful, as is the front-of-house staff. If bugs and insects bother you, this is not the place you should live. The apartments are built in the middle of woods and you’re going to get some creepy crawlers in your place. I enjoyed my time there. If you are interested, you have to check it out in-person and see if it’s your home.

We've lived here for years and were jntially satisfied, but things have been going downhill quickly. Management is a revolving door. Very poor communication with residents. Amenities including gym and pool are closed for months a time, lately have been closed more than they are open. Management is allowing maintenance into apartments to inspect sprinklers, attic, etc but if you need a bathroom serviced and you live in a 2 bath apartment, you're out of luck. We had to call our own plumber because we're a family of 4 and couldn't manage without the 2nd bath... Toilet was broken for 2 months and they refused to fix it. We need desperately to get out of here, the service gets worse by the year.

After making the move to Calibre Woods the staff worked hard to make me feel welcome answering questions and helping me make the transition. The manager (David) offered me information that I had not thought about in moving into an apartment community before. Various community events where everyone could get together and meet other residents making new friendships, getting to know the staff and finding out that I had people that really cared about my experience here. Granted there are upgrades being made here and there but they are diligently working on completing these tasks and are wanting to provide royal treatment to their residents. I enjoy being here at home!!!
Would give zero stars if I could. I can't even begin to express how many problems I have had with this apartment. The pipes under our sink have burst 3 times within less than four months! They won't provide a permanent solution. Every appliance in the apartment seems nice but is very cheap. The gate is CONSTANTLY broken. They have been renovating the club house, gym, and pool for the past 6 months. One of the only reasons I chose to live here was because of they had a gym. And they KEEP delaying it. Counting down the days I get to move out.
I would like to say my experience was wonderful in obtaining this property. I had to rely a lot on the Assistant Manager Jillian because of still living in Louisiana when viewing this property online. She was a tremendous amount of help and very patient with every concern I had regarding leasing this property. I have successfully moved in now and the property is everything Jillian described it to be. I am loving my new found community here at Calibre Woods. I would recommend this property to others who are in the apartment hunt for a new home.
My wife and I were looking for apartments from out of state. Coming from where we lived previously- the management wasn't very accommodating. Calibre Woods has a very friendly staff! If I remember it correctly, the man who helped us was Thomas. He was able to send us pictures of the apartment we were looking for and he also provided all of the required information needed to apply. Since we were already having trouble with the movers and so forth- he was able to make this process smooth sailing and our gorgeous 2 bedroom/2 bath was prepared for move in before we had gotten there! The staff is but just a short description but the property itself is beautiful as well. It makes you feel like you're going to a private resort in the middle of the city. I really have nothing negative to say about this property besides the fact that I wish I had found out about it sooner. If you're in the Toco Hills/Druid Hills area- I would highly suggest coming here to find an apartment. The prices were fair too considering the other properties in proximity! Thank you Calibre woods and hopefully we'll be enjoying our stay here with you guys more than 12 months!
My husband and I moved in a year ago (fall 2017), and just had our first baby here. All good things to say, really: - Location right next to Toco Hills mall is super convenient, and we appreciate the walkability. Also right next to a park with a nice wooded nature path. The area feels safe and peaceful, but is close enough to stores and activities. I bike to work (about 1.5 miles to Emory), so the location also allows me to avoid traffic, which I consider a huge quality-of-life issue. - Management: They are accessible, helpful, and responsive. If there is severe weather expected, or any other issue that might concern residents, the office sends out emails with helpful information. They are also just nice! I recently stopped by the office to pick up packages while carrying the baby, there was more to carry than expected, and David actually drove us back down to our unit on the golf cart. - The unit: We live in a 'deluxe' unit, i.e. recently rehabbed, with crown molding and fancy finishes, and it is lovely. The fireplace is nice in the winter. Management cares about keeping units in good condition, our repair requests are always addressed promptly, and they offer a free carpet cleaning each year you renew your lease. - The grounds are pretty and woodsy. Most apartment complexes I've seen in the area have a lot of concrete, but this has a lot of nature. It's a nice place to just take a walk without worrying about speeding traffic. I have even seen an owl :) We have not had problems with pests, and management offers regular pest control if anyone wants it. - Facilities and amenities: The pool is a really nice place to hang out and/or swim laps. The clubhouse is a sweet little space to sit and relax, and we actually had our small wedding ceremony there. There is also a fitness room (small but adequate for a basic workout), tennis courts, a DIY car wash, outdoor grills, and free weekly yoga, tennis and workout classes. - Community: There is a nice mix of residents, from students to families to retirees, and it is a friendly neighborhood where people greet one another. The management also organizes events like an annual pool party and occasional 'breakfast on the run' as you leave for work.
I have lived here for going on 8 years now and I just love it. Being able to walk my dog through the woods, taking the tennis classes and so forth is just so relaxing. Maintenance is always quick to respond and the people in the office are always so nice. I like the fact the manager sends out e-mails keeping us informed of what is going on. One of the reason I am writing this is last night they threw a wonderful holiday party for us and it was great to mingle with the other residents and get to know them. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable, quiet and very wooded, this is the place. Now I am going to relax in front of my fireplace and watch the snow.
The community is well maintained. And in a prefect location for work and school. The staff our polite and friendly. Stays very quiet at night and day
This is a great place to live, and a safe community. It's close to shopping, highways, and many hospitals and businesses. The common areas are well maintained. Great pool and sand-bottomed volleyball court. Staff is hit or miss. We've had some great interactions and others that left a lot to be desired. The 2 bdr/ 2 bath is a nice size. Very woodsy suburban atmosphere with an Atlanta mailing address.
Calibre Woods is the best place I have ever had the privilege to live! (Not to mention the safest...) The complex is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and maintenance is quick to respond. The complex has a great pool, volleyball area, and tennis courts. (Not to mention they offer free tennis lessons and weekly bootcamp and yoga classes to residents.) The complex is a short walk to great restaurants and shops. While close in proximity to Emory (2 minutes), Decatur (5 minutes), Buckhead (10 minutes), and Midtown (10 minutes), the feel of the area is very suburban.
