The namesake white boulder on the beach is hard to miss—and yes, it’s kept white on purpose.
Day-to-day life here moves a little slower, with most errands and outings bookended by ocean views. The historic pier stretches nearly half a kilometre into the bay and draws locals year-round. Uptown, you’ll find small shops, art galleries, and cafés where neighbours actually stop to chat.
Despite its relaxed pace, White Rock is well connected—it's just a short drive to South Surrey and about an hour to downtown Vancouver.
