Spokane’s U-District, short for University District, sits just east of Downtown Spokane. The U-District is home to some of the city’s most prominent institutions of higher learning, including Gonzaga University, Washington State University Spokane, and the Eastern Washington University Riverpoint Campus. The goal of the U-District is to form a collaborative partnership between education and business to help both industries prosper.
The U-District is considered a live-work-play community, offering plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffeehouses to try in the neighborhood, along with close proximity to countless major employers and attractions in neighboring Downtown Spokane and beyond. The neighborhood’s walkable layout, as well as direct access to I-90, affords many residents short commute and travel times.
