Off the western banks of the Hudson River is Newburgh, a historic city about 60 miles north of New York City. Newburgh has easy access to the surrounding areas via the interstate or public transit. The Stewart International Airport is located right outside of the city limits making travel accessible.
Because of Newburgh’s role in the American Revolution, the town has many historically significant sights like the Washington Headquarters House, the David Crawford House, the New York State Armory, and several other must-see sights. Historical landmarks aren’t the only attraction to this area. There are scenic parks like the Unico Park, located off the shore of the Hudson River, and Delano-Hitch Park.
There are many education options in this city. The Newburgh Enlarged City School District is the public school system that serves this area.
