Bonita is a suburban community just inland from Chula Vista and about ten miles southeast of Downtown San Diego. The community’s neighborhoods wrap around Chula Vista Golf Course and Rohr Park, with Bonita Golf Club and Sweetwater Summit Regional Park offering more opportunities for outdoor recreation within walking distance for most.
While Bonita is almost entirely made up of residential neighborhoods, the area features some prime shopping destinations: Westfield Plaza Bonita on the west side is a popular shopping mall, and a thriving central retail district lines Bonita Road. Southwestern College is only a few blocks to the south, making Bonita a great option for students, faculty, and staff members.
With San Diego just a few minutes up the 805 freeway, it’s an ideal location for commuters as well as anyone who likes to hit the Gaslamp Quarter on the weekends.
