Shopping is one of Aventura’s biggest draws among area locals, particularly at the huge Aventura Mall on the west side of town and the Village at Gulfstream Park. Turnberry Isle Miami golf course is the city’s centerpiece, with upscale dining, shopping, and apartments surrounding it along Country Club Drive. The Aventura Arts and Cultural Center attracts a diverse roster of performers throughout the year.
I-95 is nearby, putting Miami and the other major cities of South Florida close at hand. The beach is easily accessible via William Lehman Causeway, and from there it’s just a few minutes to Miami Beach in the south and Hollywood Beach and Ft. Lauderdale Beach in the north.
