Corona del Mar, Spanish for “Crown of the Sea,” is a coastal neighborhood in the upscale city of Newport Beach. Home to gorgeous Pacific Coast beaches, Corona del Mar offers residents and visitors alike access to Corona del Mar State Beach, also known as Big Corona Beach, and Little Corona Beach.
Nature appreciation takes many forms in Corona del Mar, from sunset views over the ocean at Inspiration and Lookout Points to the horticultural oasis of Sherman Library and Gardens. Corona del Mar is also convenient to a number of parks, such as Crystal Cove State Park and Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park. The neighboring cities of Irvine and Costa Mesa offer plenty to do as well. Destinations less than two hours away from Corona del Mar include Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs.
