Lansing is a suburban village located right on the Indiana state line, about 25 miles due south of the Chicago Loop. The diverse rental market incorporates a range of apartments, condos, and single-family homes, typically at very budget-friendly rates compared to other communities in the region.
The sprawling Wampum Lake Woods and Brownwell Woods border Lansing to the west and south, giving residents direct access to huge swaths of lush greenery. The community is served by several large shopping centers along Torrence Avenue on the west side as well as the locally-owned favorites along Ridge Road on the east side.
