Brookstone Place Apartments

After searching through St. Clair County for a good place to live I found BrookeStone Place apartments, On Michigan Road in Port Huron Township. From experience I believe it is a good place for families to raise kids. We have a playground, a Basketball court, and a swimming pool. In the fall school buses come right into the apartment complex so kids don't have to walk out by the road. We also have a good team of Maintenance who do a real good job at helping with needs as they come up. We have a activity room available for social activities. We have equal opportunity housing. The apartments come with air conditioning, Dish- washers, Ceiling fans and washer and dryers (in the Kitchen), we have single, two bedrooms and three bedrooms apartments, set in a country setting. The best part is the office staff not only has good business ethics, but also care about people and their needs.

My Apt is beautiful. I have a two BR upstairs unit With a large Balc ony overlooking a wooded area. I have a washer/dryer, built in microwave,dishwasher. Garbage disposal Ceiling fan lots of windows.updated bathroom, central. New flooring. The rent is under 600 a month! ,the Staff is wonder ful.

I never lived in an apartment before but I have to say Brookstone makes it feel like a home the staff is most helpful and caring if something brakes down they are right there for you and the neighbors are friendly and helpful too I was going to move but I haven't found a place as nice as my home here I would recommend Brookstone it's clean and well maintained thank you Brookstone for my home. Everything about this is a crock. There is no onsite manager and when she does show up she is one of the nastiest people on the planet; no laundry facilities unless you want to pay $40 extra each month for 1979 appliances. The picture of the "recreation" room is actually the office and there is no sundeck on this property. The rent has increased significantly since this site opened and the LOVELY photo of the front of one of the buildings is an illusion. It was all cleaned up for the picture. The rest of the place is dead grass, weeds, and trash. I can honestly say this because I live here and one of the cars in the picture is mine. The "stoners" and junkies have returned since the manager is no longer around. The location is right next door to the St. Clair Co. Jail so that should give you an idea of the caliber of the "visitors" who cut thru the property to get to the jail. No way would I recommend this place for families or anyone else. I'm actively looking for a new place to live.

We were planning on moving to Port Huron, but my fiance lost her income for now and we can't move right now. But the Apartment complex was nice and in a good neighborhood.

The location is great. The exterior buildings are very nice. The office staff is ok. The maintenance people are very nosy, I feel like I am always being watched. They write you up for no reason at all threatening eviction. Won't allow you to even use your patio, except long-time residents, they can use their patios all they want and have them cluttered with a bunch of stuff. Threatening letters on the doors several times a month with new rules and policies. It seems they evict a lot of people, I've had 3 new neighbors across the way in the last 5 months. I feel like they always want in my house, I like to keep to myself, I don't like people in my space. The quality of the doors and appliances is horrible. Closets keep falling apart, stove quit, dishwasher works half the time. I can't wait for my lease to be up!
