Overall, it is somewhat clean and the management is attentive to a glaring issue, especially maintenance. But, the lack of enforcement of community rules ruins this place. Out of six units in my building, two residents smoke on the patio or blow out their windows, and after complaining for a year and nothing happening, I gave up. The neighborhood is loud with the airport and traffic, no denying. I think the maintenance staff works hard, but management is hard to find and generally clueless. I literally walked into the office one time and the asst. property manager was asleep on the couch. Residents throw trash on top of dumpsters which creates mess and pests and then we pay $30 a month for pest control which is incredibly annoying. I am moving out when my lease is up. Hopefully sooner. Oh, and good luck if there is going to be a water shutdown or something. There is ZERO communication from management, except for rent, but then they screw that up, too.

I love to live at Brookside Apartments, my kids feels safe. Laundry rooms are clean. And my dog is very happy to be taking on walks by the canal trail. This is a great place and very convenient, close to restaurants and stores.

Living at Brookside is a serene & enjoyable experience. The grounds are park like & I love all the wildlife. It is a safe community & we have an excellent management team who are conscientious & friendly. Best community I’ve ever lived in.
Friendly community, beautifully maintained, clean, individual private door opening to the outdoors makes this less like an apartment and more like a condo. I like the close proximity to urban areas yet there's the rural beauty of birds of prey hovering overhead each day, deer, spectacular sunsets. Beautiful community parks nearby and nice walking trails just outside the door.
I love how pet friendly this area is. Its quiet and respectful for the most part. There is no violence that I know of. A nice safe little area.
My family and pets feel safe living in this friendly community.

Brookside is a great community that allows animals. Pool and hot tub are a plus. The laundry rooms are convenient and taken care of. The community5 years ago was mostly college kids that came and went but now it is more family oriented.
I lived at Brookside for 2 years, and in those 2 years, the quality of the staff and complex diminished immensely. Mailboxes and apartments were broken into, the security gate NEVER works (and when it does people drive around it), and contacting someone in the office is impossible. It does not feel like a safe community. Even though my rent went up substantially between leases the apartments are in terrible shape, the appliances are old, and the laundry room is full of broken machines. The property manager is aloof (she forgets everything) and you have to ask many, many times for simple requests. Do yourself a favor and live across the street for cheaper or pay a little more to live somewhere else for peace of mind. Trust me, you do not want to live here.
Apartment are in a convenience and average area. Office staff are foney and lie sometime to tenants. They charge too high on utility, special water to water they lawn morning and night 2 time a day for 30 minute each time and the bill are on top of the rent. Even we are in a drought season the manager don't care because the water bill are on the tenants & Sewer charge are on top of the rent also. This is a property tax for the owner. Think about before and search around than stuck for a year lease.
Brookside apt at Pleasant Hill has been my home for 3 yrs now. The place is immaculte, well-maintained in serene, lake tahoe setting and most of all, its safe & prestidious. We have an inhouse manager who has a big smile & always available to meet tenants expectations. His support staff & two knowledgeable, efficient custodians are a plus. Come & live with us. I love trees. I wanted a place with trees and nice people. Well, I found not only the trees, and beautiful flowers, as well as abundant grass, all amidst newly painted clusters of wonderful apartments, but a management staff that is efficient, so very helpful, and friendly. I was doing my laundry in the close-by facility to my apartment, an always clean and fresh room with an open window looking out on the grass and the trees, and this guy comes in to do his laundry, he saying that he had moved here from Salt Lake City. He explained that he came to the area to check out all the surrounding apartment complexes first, and of all of them, he found this had the best upkeep, town proximity, quiet, and nicest staff. Gee, I felt great that I landed here with my dumb luck, indeed agreeing with all that he found. In addition, there is the many-mile-long Iron Horse jogging, walking and biking trail immediately adjacent to the complex, there are a variety of great people living here of all ages, I do not hear my neighbors, close or further away, and it is WALKING distance to what suddenly, out of this rolling hill beautiful environment, becomes the domain of Target, Ross, restaurants, Safeway, etc., the freeway access to 680 additionally right there, which I never hear. I feel you get the value of your money here at this complex, and it is competitive with other places. Further, the management does everything in their power to accommodate what needs may arise. I suggest you come and check this place out...!
