Terrible staff. Subpar apartments. Our apartment was not move in ready when we showed up. The maintenance person is a horrible person who is known for intentionally neglecting residents of color. The fact that he's still there after multiple complaints by tenants lets you know how terrible of a company this is.

I have lived at Brookside for over 10 years now and I love it!! Office and maintenance staff are always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Ricardo one of the long term maintenance staff is always friendly and gets the job done. As far as comments about trash, that is the valet trash pickup service. They go around collecting all the bags and put them to the curb. It has never been there long because the truck then comes around to get it. The rooster is not on Brookside property!!

I wouldn’t advise anyone to move here, the rent office never answers the phone, maintenance guy is such a rude jerk. Literally accused me of leaving trash outside clearly when it was my neighbors. Plus not to mention bugs were everywhere in the kitchen. These people must know

Let me start with the staff, the manager is the best. I was here before and did not want to even tour after hearing my friends horror stories but now I do not worry about a thing. The communication is great and prompt. They actually get the apartments fully ready and looking new before someone new moves in and it is great all around, highly reccomend!

The dumpster is overflowing with garbage on a regular basis causing mice in the apartments
Things constantly break maintenance just put a band-aid fix on it and call it a day. Management communication skills are very poor and at times flat out rude. If you need anything from management, you have to make sure to walk in office. Getting any communication outside of walking in office does not happen. If management commits to a time to meet/speak with you do not expect them to follow through with agreed upon time or reach out at all. If you have an emergency after hours, they will not answer! I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone
Recently bought out low income building and kicked every tenant out 2 WEEKS before Christmas. Dont give these evil people any of your money

This is a great apartment complex! Located in the middle of everything and the staff are really friendly! Maintenance orders are fixed really quickly and neighbors are great! Highly recommend moving here for those looking to sign a new lease.

Management needs work. Good location. It is safe. The quality of the apartments are rough. When you call to get something fixed the maintenance guy gets upset. The apartments are small. Neighbors are loud but I don't care much about that because they do seem nice. Management has you fill out a hundred papers when you move in and then when something comes up they don't use any of it to communicate with them. We may actually buy our lease out just to leave here honestly. Very surprised they were a 5 star unless they delete bad comments or something.
Wasn't bad when I first moved in, not a bad location, new neighbors who yell and argue or are just constantly loud. Office could careless as long as they get it fixed for one day. Other than that, the grounds are not bad, the matinence men are fast, but rude. Nicole in the office is extremely helpful and nice!
THERE'S A ROOSTER THAT SCREECHES THE ENTIRE DAY. From sun up until sun down, this bird is screeching at the top of it's lungs. They MAKE you pay for trash cable that freezes and is included in some trash package deal with Spectrum. The sink has no sprayer. It's extremely drafty and there's a gap between the cheap front door that makes it even more drafty. The water pressure in the shower is terrible. It gradually diminishes MID SHOWER. Their selling points include showing you this sub-par apartment, then showing you an uglier one with wood paneling and outdated kitchen items. It literally looks like someone swallowed the 80's, and shat it out into this apartment. They know most people will hate the way it looks, and choose the pricer one like I did, but you are not getting a deal. There's only ONE dumpster, so if you're all the way in the back you have to walk through the complex, and across the bridge to get to it. Try not to get hit by one of your speeding inconsiderate neighbors. Did I mention the bugs? If you do laundry at night or come home at night, you'll have to dodge all the giant bugs flinging themselves at you. There aren't any bug lights or repellant sprayed around the doors. At light the laundry room doorway is surrounded by small insects and spiders. What a waste of money.
Extremely overpriced for what you're actually getting. It's a nice size but excessive amounts of spiders and even the occasional mouse. Really dated inside as well, microwave from the 1980s. Windows don't close all the way and doors have gaps that let air through. They also don't tell you until you get there that you are required to pay for cable from them whether you actually want it or not. Maybe I just got bad unit but be cautious. Only got this place because of the convenience aspect.

I've lived at Brookside for over a decade because of it's park like setting and easy access to most of Louisville. And Community Life has added such a great vibe with fun and always changing activities to meet up with new and long time neighbors....thanks Jessica and Ryan!
One of the reasons I moved into this complex was because of Community Life and it has become one of the reasons I love living here. The community is awesome and so friendly.
I attended my first Community Life event just after moving in, and I couldn't be happier. I could not have felt more welcome, and instantly had new friends. Brookside is not like an apartment complex, it is a community. Community Life makes that happen.
I love living at Brookside! The landscaping is gorgeous, the property is well-maintained, and the neighborhood is quiet. The community life team is very active...from monthly movie nights, free pizza dinners, even passing out chick fil a to residents on their way to work -- I must say that I have enjoyed the time that I've lived here (over 3 years).
Could not be happier! From the grounds to the building to the location, everything is great! The staff goes above and beyond! I feel I get every cents worth of my money with my apartment! I work a stressful job and at the end of the day, when I pull into the property, it's all melts away! I feel as though I have truly come home!!
At Brookside, residents are welcomed home to a peaceful retreat consisting of trees and a nearby creek, as well as a walking path where rabbits and birds, as well as friendly neighbors, sometimes greet you. Its newly painted exteriors are quite refreshing. In addition, Brookside offers very convenient access to interstates and expressways and is near the city's very popular shopping centers/malls, groceries, and restaurants. The staff of Brookside is pleasant and quick to respond whenever I experience a maintenance issue, which has been infrequent.
We have lived here for almost two years and we love our apartment.
I have been living here for about 6 months and it is absolutely above and beyond what I pay for. The pool area is inviting and relaxing, the office staff are wonderful, and my apartment is payed out perfectly so that even though the square footage isn't great the space is plenty for me and my fiancé. They're very pet friendly, and I plan on staying here for a long time!
So far I have loved living at Brookside. Our property manager is super sweet and truly cares about the residents. Our matinence requests are filled lightening fast, they also do a great job of keeping the property updated & appealing. Our community is very safe due to the constant evening police protection offered by our complex. This community has so many amenities at a very reasonable price!
