Property Ratings at Briggs & Union
Apartments are nice but management is poor. My building lost all power over a month ago and we have been running on generator power for almost 6 weeks now. Twice now the power has gone out because no one is paying proper attention to the fuel level on the generator. 5 power outages since June and all We received was a $250 credit on our rent?! At this point we should have a free months rent! It’s 90 plus degrees out with no AC! And to top it all off PSEG sent us all bills this past month when they don’t even have power supplied to our building!
Excellent community, close to shopping centers to include Cherry Hill Mall and 295 to head towards Philadelphia.

Greetings - We think we are an a great location as well.
Clean and quiet place to live
Great nice property.
Nice place. Staff keeps up with property. Rent is high
Community is clean and has many convenient amenities.
I took a tour of their apartment units and have to say I was very pleased of the layout of the place
B&U apts are a newer complex with upgraded appliances and finishes. The fitness center has all new equipment and the clubhouse is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and trash is collected nightly. Wi-Fi and cable work well. Another amenity is having an elevator which is a nice convenience. Management knows my name but thankfully I don?t need stop stop in the office often. There are garages for those that want the added expense. The pool and barbecue areas are always well maintained. Maintainance comes quickly in the event you require service. It is a lovely, quiet and serene community.
I love the community I'm in here, great neighbors and peaceful!!
love living in here I'm not going anywhere
Lovely community, quiet and peacful.
Moved here in 2019. Absolutely love living in this community. Very conveniently located to shops and restaurants. All the staff here are professional and friendly. Special shout out to the maintenance staff?
The staff were professional and courteous. The guide was very knowledgeable and tenants friendly.
They are amazing!!! I 1000000% will tell people to move there it?s so beautiful you would love it there!
I like mostly for the nicely appointed interior of the apartment. Valet trash is great, but not having a way to dispose of large bulk items is a real problem. Having pet stations easily accessible is great, if only everyone would just use it! Pool is great, but I wonder if an outside shower could be installed out there for when lifeguards are late and we can?t go into the pool to cool off. Had that at my last condo and it was also great to rinse off before going home.
On the whole I love the tranquility, pond and convenience to everything living here. Also the elevators are a great perk! I?ve had no problem with communication with the office or maintenance staff. The fountain and grounds are beautiful. Love all the grills! Enjoy my time here!!
The apartment complex itself is beautiful, 10/10.
Great community. Quiet , Friendly neighbors. Well kept.
Well Kept Property
My experience with the management and maintenance team has been wonderful.
Great apartment, amenities are great. Pet friendly extra bonus.
This community is a very nice place to live. The apartments are updated and nicely designed. I love the balcony and the outdoor amenities. I would recommend living here.
I viewed my apartment in January 2021. While I viewed the apartment, I was surprised how dirty it was for being new but more importantly, there were tons of dead bugs on the floor throughout the unit, stains on the wall and floors and loose nails on the patio (very unsafe). Despite that, there weren’t many one bedrooms available at that time so I decided to proceed with this one. I informed the leasing office (Geraldine specifically) of the situation and requested to have the dead bugs, loose nails and dirt cleaned from the apartment prior to moving in. She responded that the entire apartment would be fully cleaned prior to my move in date. Well, it was not. Two weeks later, I moved into the unit which was in the exact same state as when I viewed it… with dead bugs, loose nails, stains on the wall and overall dirtiness. Nobody deserves to move into an apartment in this condition especially when they are promised it will be taken care of prior to their move in date. Having loose nails on the floor is extremely unsafe… Not only for me but for my small dog. I expressed my concerns to the leasing office and not one person apologized or offered to remediate the situation. In regards to the big stains on the wall, I requested to have maintenance paint over it. The leasing office responded that I would need to purchase my own brush and also bring a small cup to the leasing office to receive the paint. Then I will have to paint the stain myself. I have never heard of such a thing!? About three weeks after moving in, there was a shooting in front of my apartment building. I hid behind my kitchen island and called 911. The police came to investigate. I’m a female and live on the first floor so that situation was extremely traumatizing for me. The leasing office sent an email to the residents days after the shooting and completely down played the situation. Another big issue is the electricity bill. I have been renting for 10+ years and my electricity bill has always been around $100-$150 per month. My first electricity bill at Jefferson apartments was $350. Please keep in mind that I live in a one bedroom unit about 700 ft.² I was in complete shock. Ive spoken to many other residents in the community and they have the same issue overpaying for electricity and have contacted the leasing office but they do nothing about it. There is something clearly wrong! Please look elsewhere for a better apartment community.
DON'T TRUST THE OFFICE and DON'T MOVE IN !!!! BIG MISTAKE... They have the worst service provider. Starting with Trash... they charge you $25 but never picks up trash on time and sometimes next day... The main trash place is half-a mile away and very inconvenient for people to trash if you have extra bag. They never listen to your issues, for instance, i had resident living in the building and they have been smoking pots/weeds. Multiple police incident occurred middle of the night and with complained from multiple floor, they didn't care or took any action. All they care to occupy the apartment. If you have kids,,,, don't MOVE there. They will show all new stuff and developments, but you will be disappointed when you are locked in. Security Deposit... forget that,,, say good by to that.... they will show all the charges and take all of it... Very disappointed with their services.
Awful customer service. Sneaky management. When looking at places, we were led to believe all the amenities would be easily accessible. Instead, any amenity worth using either is only open during inconvenient hours or isn’t available. Below is a list of some of the amenities and the reality of using them: Pool - told would be available the summer that we moved in, still isn’t open Clubhouse (with games, dining area, fireplace, etc.) - told would be available when we moved in, didn’t open for months and now that it is open, it’s only accessible during leasing office hours (which are the hours most people work) Putting green - very small and not real grass Firepit - doesn’t turn on, no furniture around it, no sign that it’s operational Trash valet - led to believe it was an optional service, turns out to be mandatory with an extra fee on top, has ridiculous regulations like requiring clear bags for recycling or it won’t be taken. Don’t bother applying here. They were super friendly when we applied and completely changed their tone once we signed the lease.
