The second largest city in Michigan, Grand Rapids rests on the Grand River, about 30 miles east of Lake Michigan. Formerly known as the Furniture City, Grand Rapids is now nicknamed the River City as well as Beer City USA for its riverside locale and proximity to 40 craft breweries. Grand Rapids is also the hometown of former United States President Gerald Ford. Fans of the 38th president can learn more about his life and impact on American history at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
Notable as an artistic haven, Grand Rapids hosts the annual ArtPrize competition, a 19-day affair drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city and featuring artwork all throughout Downtown Grand Rapids. Frederik Meijer Gardens exhibits an expansive variety of sculptures and gardens both indoors and outdoors. Meyer May House is revered as one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpieces.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Breton Court
Roaches can be seen everywhere. The wall are too thin that can be heard what’s the next door are doing.their 24/7 maintenance are no where to be found and never pick up the phone when called. Pest control came to get rid of the roaches but all they did was open one of the cabinet under the sink and just spray ONCE and left??????????
terrible place they have roaches stay away !!!!! do not move here the manager will lie and say that they all have roaches but they really do the pool isn’t that great the parking lot sucks and it’s noisy at night . also noisy during the day because all the kids are getting home from school the walls are very thin too so that does not help . it needs a lot of repairs inside and out . it’s a very dirty place with thrash everywhere. The maintenance people don’t fix things either i told em the sink is dripping water he said oh that’s fine it’s just backed up & same is with the shower faucet ??
Bug problems (roaches and ants). Horrible black mold issues before they replaced the windows and doors. They didn't replace drywall they just painted over the mold. Terrible experience with maintenance, took weeks to fix things. Denied that there was a gas leak in my stove for 3 days even though I had DTE out to check and a note that said there was. Cupboards are falling apart from water damage. Carpet is placed in the dining area which is just adds to bug problems. They don't salt and plow regularly in the winter. There are multiple residents who have fallen and one who is suing them. I fell and my kids have fallen on the ice in the parking lot and stairs. The washing machines are always broken but they just place the blame on the 3rd party that owns them instead of replacing them. The heat was out from the boiler about 2 yrs ago and they took a week to fix it because they were only checking out apartment and not the actual boiler. This year they didn't even know that it wasn't on yet when Temps reached low 40's at night. We called and it took them 2 days to get it running. Happy to say we are moving next month. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who can afford to choose better.
Breton Court apartments is an fair rating to me, by me just living here in 4 months. Need some more maintenance and ground work, but an fair share rating to me and it depends on how we the residents here maintain and keep up our apartments in good conditions. A family oriented complex apartment as well. I notice it is active during the day here and quiet at night. Love my apartment though. A good apartment complex for low income persons in my opinion and persons just starting out on their own.
