I’ve lived here since August 2022 and have never had any issues. If I need something fixed they are on it. Staff at the office are always very nice and helpful.

The staff here is outstanding.. been here since 2015 . Maintenance staff (James and Calvin) are exemplary. Timely in the response to service request .James came for a non emergency late in the day and replaced garbage disposal which was leaking. He also removed old and placed everything back under the sink. Which is outstanding especially when you are a senior citizen. Calvin also responded to another request quickly. Would not want to live anywhere else. Office staff is attentive and concerned for our well being.

I have been a resident of Brentwood Downs over 10 yrs. By far it is the best apartment around, the staff makes you feel like family, very professional, they go out of there way to help when you need it. EMILY is part of that staff she has been with the complex a long time, always friendly and very professional, an outstanding employee. The maintenance dept. is also very professional they are there when you need them to fix any problem.. So why go any where else, BRENTWOOD DOWNS is the best.....

I love my apartment! I decided to move here because of the location and no pet restrictions. It is super close to three grocery stores, restaurants, etc. You're about 20 minutes away from everything including downtown. The office and maintenance staff have been amazing and always check in to make sure that repairs meet my expectations. They just built a pet park in the spring and accept ALL DOGS. YES I said all dogs, so you can bring your pit baby with you. I highly recommend Brentwood Downs as your next community. They are wonderful.

The property location is very close to all amenities. It falls under a good school zone. Lawns can be better maintained. Xfinity fee and portal charges are unnecessary costs.

My living experience has been wonderful. I have no issues with any neighbors, and a great relationship with the staff. They have always been super helpful, and very responsive to the couple minor maintenance requests I have submitted. I have nothing but good things to say about Brentwood Downs.

Great so far. It is always calm and welcoming. The staff are helpful. It is a beautiful place in a great location. The gate seems odd since you can just walk around it. I wish there was better lighting outside. And while everyone is friendly it was offputting to see in the backroom that there is a board where the staff have goals of finding residents with violations and records of how much they each brought in that month. It did put a bad taste in my mouth. Beyond that all the little touches like special events have been nice.

Maintenance is a joke! When I moved in the maintenance guy told my wife she would have to live with the kitchen cabinet doors crooked. There wasn't a straight one to be found! He told her that he's tried to fix them in the past and that it only makes it worse. I sent an email with a video to the office of how to fix them and insisted they return to do the job properly. They did return but every repair, simple or difficult took at least 2 visits and typically wasn't resolved properly. By the time we departed after just 8 months, the AC didn't even work anymore. I was so tired of the repairs failing that we just ignored it until we closed on our new home. The biggest kicker of this place was being robbed for 25% cost of replacing a 4 year old carpet. The staff was kind until they checked my carpets for pet urine. The claimed my pets pee'd on them and they could smell urine (completely untrue, I moved into a house and replaced all the carpets because you can smell the ammonia, so I know the smell. also I left the apartment unattended for a week after moving out without any air in the heat and there was zero smell.) They claim this carpet is good for 7 years. The cost of the carpet (installed) was just over $1/square foot. What this means if your not familiar with carpet install, its the cheapest carpet you can buy! I just installed carpet in my new home and can tell you with 100% certainty, they bought CHEAP carpet and won't last 7 years. FYI, My wife works from home and can supervise the pets 24/7. My cat has never sprayed and my dog is so well trained that she "go's" on command and only on grass or dirt. The staff doesn't check under your carpets unless you have pets (assuming you declared them) and if a previous tenant brought in an unauthorized pet, you will be charged after they tear up the carpet. Clearly they won't allow you to look under the carpets prior to move in and they did not inspect it because the previous tenants "did not have pets". Staff and corporate were not interested one bit about the fact they could not "prove" by any means of when the urine was there or even if it was for sure urine and not apple juice since they don't test for ammonia. We wrote a letter and email to cooperate and they didn't bother to respond. Clearly money is more important than doing the right thing.
Been reading past reviews and only one I agree with is the other ONE star. If the old office staff was so great, they really should bring them back because the current staff is beyond rude and very unhelpful. They truly are only out for your money. The maintenance staff is very rude and doesn't fix ANYTHING. Have spiders and pests everywhere. Called 6 times about hot water broken and still not fixed. "24 hour maintenance" is just a myth. The maintenance people will say just about anything to push it off to the next day- even if you need to shower for your own next days work and it has been storming and you're soaking wet. This place is horrible, selfish, and only out for money. They will look for any way to get it from you, too. They do not make you feel like a "community" at all. To say the least; do not recommend.
I stayed here for 6 months. I really like the grounds - it's very well kept but I still don't recommend this place. There was a terrible brown recluse problem. I mentioned it to them and they showed up that day unannounced and sprayed everywhere even though I had a dog. I would have at least liked to have been there or told that they were going to do extra spraying. They also laid out glue traps in the open and one got stuck to my dogs whiskers. Also, mold is a huge problem. Mold was all over the vents in the bedroom, windows, and in the laundry room (which had a terrible musty smell and was leaking). When I first moved in, they said the carpet was brand new. It wasn't but I didn't mind, I could see stains and hair on it from the previous tenant. I also paid pet rent. I had a small dog who was well potty trained. They tried to tell me at the end that my dog urinated all over the carpet and that there were several spots. I know for a fact my dog did not use the potty in there. It's a tiny 1 bedroom apartment. I would have stepped in it!! I never even walked through with my shoes. Connie said I had to pay them hundreds of dollars to replace all of the carpet and to clean the place because it was "filthy". I left it in better shape when I moved in! I made sure everything was cleaned. The only thing that wasn't great was the stove top little burner things but they looked burnt and crusted when I moved in. I was livid and demanded to do a walkthrough with them, she said it was too late because it was already cleaned. But in the lease contract it says I have FOUR DAYS to do a walkthrough but apparently they don't live up to their lease agreements but god forbid you don't. Then they called back and changed their minds and said they talked to their carpet guy (why didn't they do this the first time?) and said I could pay $90 to have it cleaned instead. I was tired of arguing so I agreed to do it. I think they are really fishy. It was a nightmare living there. I definitely do not recommend!!
During our time here, my fiance and I have enjoyed the apartments. The area is very safe and the property is well kept. All buildings were recently painted and when we moved in all appliances were new and the walls were freshly painted. Rent is high but it is worth it to live in a nicer area of Nashville. Just hope it doesn't get too expensive. At Brentwood Downs we are close to many restaurants and shops. We hope to stay for a while. Great place!
