Stonewall/Salemtowne is a small neighborhood in the Old Town district. This wooded neighborhood is predominately residential, but residents have access to several shopping centers and parks nearby like Hine Soccer Park. Winston-Salem has a lower cost of living compared to the rest of the state and Stonewall/Salemtowne follows suits in affordability. I'm in the process of trying to care of rent that is due, and setting up my utilities with a third party, and I literally CANNOT get ahold of anyone at the office. On a typical day, it takes me usually 5 calls to finally get someone on the phone, and then when I finally do, I either get a lady who sounds like she has no idea what's going on, or another lady who is disrespectful and condescending. Good luck if you need to reach out to them for help because you'll be frustrated when they don't pick up the phone or reply to your messages.

0/10 would never recommend. Still hearing scratching clawing and scurrying noises daily coming from the ceiling in all rooms of the unit. Showed a video of the sounds to the Pest control man today he says it could be squirrels in the space between my ceiling and upstairs floor but that they don't address those kind of pest and only address in unit issues. This is impacting my ability to sleep in my unit, have guests, and more. There was a maintenence man who said he would look into it but i haven't heard anything since then. The pest control man said he would be notifying the property manager. Ive made FOUR pest control request and they keep getting removed from my maintenence list even though the issue had not been addressed.

Just moved it but application process was very straight forward. Did have some trouble with the online application but was able to get a paper application in person. Catie in the office helped us and was very communicative and answered all of our questions. The apartment itself is nice. Patio is a plus.

Not pleased with management at all. The breezeway in the building where I live smells like dog urine . It needs to be power washed at least once every 2 weeks. Management does not enforce rules regarding picking up after your pets, walking them on a lease and residents have more than the 2 limit of dogs. The complex is just run down and so are the old appliance and cabinets.

I moved in Brandemere Apartment in August 2024 and since I have been living here I am always noticing how nice and peaceful it is here. I give 4 stars because the only thing I dislike is how some of the pet owners refuse to pick up after their pets. I have had multiple back surgeries and have issues with my feet and legs but I will still pick up after my pet. Other than that, I really enjoy it here

I am being triple charged for water and sewage. I also don't like the. Shutting off the portal that makes it hard for residents like me who don't have a car to get money orders to pay. I'm also upset about the trees in the back that covers my porch area can't see anything and if a bad storm come it will knock down the trees and it will land on the building.

Lack of communication with the office staff they have four people on staff and every time you call no one never answers your call nor do they return your email when we came to sign up for our lease. They told us on the day we got here that we needed additional funds since their deposit Process change I felt that information should’ve been given to us through email prior to the day of move-in. It put a hardship on us and made that day very stressful.

Place isn't bad, but it is outdated. Amenities aren't anything crazy, but the location is good. There is no light for the bedroom in my 1bd 1ba unit which is really odd but I've gotten used to it.

I love the quietness and I can always count on finding a parking space. Can’t wait until the apartments are rebuilt so weren’t constantly reminded of the fire.

No fire extinguishers even though their was a recent fire when brought to the attention of the office nothing was done. It saddens me that the office doesn't care that the tenants are at risk and that the fire extinguishers are very much needed and should be supplied.

i enjoy the quiet neighborhood & the space my home gives me & my daughter ! definitely recommend this community for families ! we love to grill in the area provided & sit out on the balcony when the weather is nice!

Grounds crew keeps up nice, the maintenance request I put in was taken care of very quickly, and the leasing office messages residents about news, however, still have not received my mailbox keys and I've been moved in for over a month.

My experience living here has been wonderful. I love my apartment and the complex that I’m in. The neighbors are friendly. There is no loud noises. I love the location it’s convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, gas stations everything and every direction. The staff is amazing. Maintenance is fantastic as well. I’m hoping to get approved and renew my lease.

My resident experience here is very hard to put into words, it's very peaceful and everyone that lives here are kind. The office staff is the best ever. They work hard and they make sure that everyone is happy and well taken care of.

Week two of moving in I was awoken out of my sleep to hear loud gunshots, it was alarming to say the least, because it sounded extremely close. I haven't heard anything since then and other than that one time it's been pretty quiet but I'd be lying if said that it is not concerning.

I really enjoy living here it's a wonderful neighborhood and it's very convenient to everything you need. the neighbors in my building are very nice and quiet I was in my home for 25 Year's before moving here and it's just fabulous almost like being on vacation permanently

I really how peaceful it is over here it’s so quiet I don’t even know who my neighbors are! I just don’t enjoy how my dishwasher is always not working ??but other than that i like it here!

Experience hasn’t been the worst. Rahja in the office has been extremely nice. Maintenance can be better but they do what they can. Overall experience living here wasn’t bad.

I enjoy the fact that it's a Quiet area it has a nice patio and the property managers are helpful and if I need anything fixed they make sure the Maintenace men come either the same day or the next day to get it done.
