Property Ratings at Boggan Estates Apartments
Poor experience overall. The units do not appear like the model. They are even more outdated, not well maintained, and smell like smoke. It was dirty upon move in and there was a dead roach on the cabinet and stains in kitchen. The cabinets were also warped and stained cabinets and the interior had a 1980s feel. Very cheap building materials used throughout and thin walls. Management was an issue. Apts are way overpriced for what you are getting! I definitely do not recommend when there are nicer, cheaper apts in the area!!
We paid $100 to move in on the first of March. The lady said the $100 would be there to hold us a place by our move in date. We went today to get the keys and find out how to turn on our lights to find out we won’t have a place until much later. She said that she had a place for us but didn’t know when that person would be moving out. I think what happened was they had so many places to fill that they forgot to save us a place. She then offered us another place way above our budget. The lady said that she didn’t know we was moving in on the first even though we told her twice. Also, she could have called us if she forgot since she had both of our numbers. Then she rushed us out of the office. I wouldn’t move here us you had too. Ms. Debbie obviously doesn’t know what she is doing.
I have been here for 7 years and I have absolutely no complaints. They are always on time when it comes to any complaints that you have. Maintenance is amazing as well!!
I’m a happy resident still! I moved here July 2015 and plan on signing for another year! The office staff is friendly, competent and I really appreciate Ms. Debbie. They made the moving in process, easy. The maintenance guys are knowledgeable and quick. After living in 6 other states, and renting, this place is by far the best! Overall, I would give it a big thumbs up!!
Just moved in for a four month stay in Tupelo and the staff, Deb & Desiree were extremely nice in making all of this possible for me. They have been accommodating with my transition and help with the electric company process. They have gone out of their way to make it a very pleasant experience. The apartment is clean and exactly as depicted in the photos. I would highly recommend to place and their management team to others.
I started my third year living here in January. I have had very few problems. They were fixed immediately. The office staff is one of the best!! Always helpful. Grounds are kept up, as are the apartments. Great place to live!
These are still relatively new apartments. They are very good at taking care of any problem that may arise. There is a pool and all modern appliances. It's a wonderful community. They have things they do as a community such as cookouts and bingo. A great place to live at a reasonable price.
I have lived at Boggan Estates in Belden, MS, for over one year now, and I have enjoyed my time here. The office workers are helpful and kind, and the apartments are clean and free of bugs, and pet-safe pest prevention is provided every few months. Rent is affordable for the area, and the apartment offers one and two bedroom options, as well as handicap accessible units, with six month or yearly leases. A pool is available, although gym facilities are not. Washers and dryers are available on site, for the price of $3 to wash and dry one load of laundry. Boggan Estates is pet-friendly, up to two cats and/or dogs, and they are the only apartment complex I could find in/near Tupelo that allowed pets up to 80 pounds. The only complaints I have are regarding breed restrictions for dogs, non-refundable pet fees, and income requirements. Boggan's pet policy states that "aggressive dog breeds" are not allowed. Based on peer-reviewed research, as well as my own professional opinion as a veterinary technician, each dog must be evaluated based on its individual temperament, rather than discriminated against based on his/her breed. Breed-specific bans have not been proven to result in fewer dog bites and are therefore unnecessary and not in line with current knowledge on dog breeds and dog bite incidents. The one-time pet fee is around $350, which is not refunded upon move out, even if your pet has not caused any damage to the apartment. It would be better if the pet fee could be refunded, just as the deposit is refunded, provided that your pet has not caused any damages. As for the income requirement, it is required that your income be three times your monthly rent, even if you are willing to pay for the entire lease up front. This does not make sense to me at all. Overall, I would recommend Boggan Estates in Belden, MS, to anyone looking for an affordable, pet-friendly apartment within a ten minute drive of Tupelo.
Boggan Estates is a wonderful place to live in the Tupelo/Belden area of Mississippi. The apartments are close to everything you need and yet still offers a peaceful environment. They offer on-site laundry facilities, grills throughout the estates, and a pool to relax in on those hot Mississippi days. The apartments are run by friendly staff and they are always available when needed.
