Along with warmer temperatures and high pollen counts, spring marks the beginning of baseball season. Aside from the traditional associations of eating hot dogs and shelled peanuts, Major League Baseball stadiums across the United States have embraced the newer tradition of hosting themed events. Event themes range from popular culture references to heritage nights and everything in between. While multiple stadiums host similar events, we’ve organized our list of events by stadium for geographic and fan convenience.
Suntrust Stadium – Atlanta Braves
Bark in the Park is a popular event presented by WAG-A-LOT, affording fans the opportunity to watch the ball game with their dogs from the Xfinity Rooftop. Every dog in attendance also receives a Braves leash to sport around town.
Suntrust Stadium, located in the Cumberland neighborhood of Atlanta, hosts several Friday Night Fireworks and Kids Run the Bases events throughout the season.
Marlins Park – Miami Marlins
The Annual Star Wars Night at Marlins Park features an array of Star Wars themed activities throughout the ballpark, vendor tables, and plenty of chances to take pictures with the characters.
Marlins Park, situated in the heart of Little Havana, also offers a variety of heritage nights, including Puerto Rican, Cuban, Japanese, Venezuelan, Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Mexican. Heritage nights boast themed music, food, jerseys, and more!
Citizens Bank Park – Philadelphia Phillies
Celebrate Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang at Citizens Bank Park. Every purchased ticket comes with a coupon for an exclusive Phillies themed Snoopy bobble head as well.
Comerica Park – Detroit Tigers
The Detroit Tigers Class Outside series combines learning with baseball through special presentations after games at Comerica Park. Students of various ages enjoy delving into diverse subjects on Career Day, Math Day, Weather Day, and Journalism Day.

Marvel Super Heroes Night offers an action-packed experience at Miller Park. All aspiring super heroes get a Brewers-themed Captain America bobble head with ticket purchase as well.
Safeco Field – Seattle Mariners
Stitch n’ Pitch is an annual celebration of knitting, stitching, quilting, and other fiber arts while cheering on the Mariners! Fans are encouraged to bring in their projects, view samples from local shops in the Seattle area, learn tips from experts, and meet other stitching enthusiasts. Attendees also receive a clear Stitch n’ Pitch tote bag with ticket purchase.
Petco Park – San Diego Padres
Southwest Airlines sponsors the Party in the Park series at Petco Park in Downtown San Diego, where pregame happy hour drink specials and live music contribute to a vibrant atmosphere at every Friday home game.
AT&T Park – San Francisco Giants
The annual Metallica Night at AT&T Park honors the Grammy Award-winning band Metallica with an array of pregame festivities featuring members of the band and much more! Attendees also get a special Giants/Metallica hat with ticket purchase.
