You might expect the "birthplace of speed" to be somewhat noisy, but Ormond Beach leaves that to its more-famous southern neighbor, Daytona Beach. Instead, this quiet, beachfront city offers white-sand beaches, the natural beauty of Tomoka State Park, and a fascinating history.
In 1643, a group of Quakers headed to New England were blown off-course. They ran ashore near Ormond Beach, and decided to settle there. They did okay until 1704, when a group of Timacuans raided the camp and killed the settlers. After that, the area was tossed back and forth between Spain and Britain until 1821, when the US acquired the land from Spain. It was nicknamed the "birthplace of speed" around 1900 -- the packed, smooth sand was ideal for automobile inventors to "test out" their vehicles.
Today, Ormond Beach is a palm-tree-filled, coastal community ideal for those who want lazy days on the beach, swimming, surfing, and beachcombing.

Property Ratings at Bermuda Estates at Ormond Beach
I moved in to a 2 bedroom 2 bath Apt in August 2021. The staff was rude. Even though I had 50,000 in the bank they would not rent to me because I came to Florida without a job. I explained I was an RN and would be getting a job as soon as I was settled. That wasn't good enough. I went back to NY and got a job through facetime. I faxed them a letter of intent to hire so they said OK. I arrived in Florida the apartment I rented had 2 bedrooms with on suite bathrooms. So if you had company they had to walk thru one of the bedrooms to use the bathroom. One should have been in the hall. They have this strange way of collecting garbage they give you a garbage can outside your door and collect it every other day. I did a big cleaning and had 2 extra bags of garbage. The next day there was a note on my door that I had 2 bags over the limit and would have to pay over a 200 dollar surcharge. WHAT???? I went to the office thinking this was a mistake no they threatened to evict me if I didn't pay . 2 years ago it was impossible to find an Apt so I paid. When my lease was up they wanted to raise my rent 200 a month. Luckily I was on a list for a different complex so I moved. I am now living in a much nicer complex rent is almost 400 dollars cheaper and you just throw your garbage in the many dumpsters in the complex. One more thing Bermuda Estates is full of cockroaches my ex husband still lives there and my son found roaches in his Keurig, pizza box and in the kitchen by the sink. Luckily I never found any. My ex,'s neighbor found roaches in her box of cereal. Gross. For the expensive rent they charge they need to do better. I see they have a lot of vacancies due to all the apartments being built. I moved out August 15 2022 and they tried to charge me a full month of water. I told them you got enough money from me I'm not paying. Never heard anything about it again. Good riddance Bermuda Estates. I would say the only positive thing is a nice pool
The experience we had with Bermuda Estates was beyond satisfactory! The staff goes above and beyond for your every need. From the beginning, they were so helpful getting us in the unit. The grounds are kept beautifully, and the the units totally up to date. Any questions or concerns were addressed quickly.

Been living here since Aug 2019 in the 2 bd with Solarium, we can confidently say that we wouldn't live anywhere else in the area. We did lots of apartment hunting for two months last year before choosing this place, trust me when I say that you can't find a better location for the price and square footage. Save yourself the work and come see this place. All three leasing agents are friendly and efficient, management is great. Pet friendly with lots of pet waste stations. It's SUPER close to walmart, taco bell, chick-fil-a, ross, steak n shake, denny's, a movie theater, post office, I95 entrance, and more.
We will be moving to Bermuda estates in July and we can not wait!! office staff is very helpful and knowledgeable! cant wait to move in!!

I have lived here for 1.5 years. It's a great place to live. Very quite. When you need something done from the maintenance people they are "very" quick to respond and are very personable and professional. I have only good things to say about my living here.
I have lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with my friend at Bermuda Estates in Ormond Beach FL for over 2 years. Rent is reasonable. The apartments are a good size and are available with or without a balcony. The Kitchen is very nice and was the deciding factor for us. The staff is helpful and have always greeted us with a smile every time we walk into the office. The maintenance staff are professional and respond within a very reasonable amount of time when I call. The only complaint we have is the closet in the master bedroom is small. Its location is great. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and Churches all located within walking distance. Overall a great place to live. Check it out.
This apartment complex is a quit place to live, no loud music playing during the day time or at night. We have nice neighbors that are good to get alone with, and the apartment management also are friendly. We refer this apartment complex to anyone seeking a change of address.

The floor plan is Great! The walls are thin and the amenities are average.
Bermuda Estates is a high end complex with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. There is actual tile floors ( no crazy linoleum )in the kitchen,laundry room,&bathrooms. The clubhouse plans monthly gatherings that people would be interested to attend (burgers and beer tasting). It's conveniently located to everything! Love this place!
Beautiful apartment complex close to the quiet beaches of Ormond Beach. Spacious apartments, great office and maintenance staff, great amenities. Close to beaches, Daytona Speedway, and many vacation spots.Large pool, outdoor kitchen area, and exercise room. It feels like we are on vacation - all year long!
Aside from neighbors that sound like they are about to come through the ceiling, or the wall when walking up and down the stairs, and the frequent inspections that make me feel like my privacy is being invaded, it's not too bad. I do feel they are overpriced and the extras they charge for (washer and dryer, water, cable, alarm) should be included in the already extensive rent. The property itself is kept up. The staff is friendly and if you have a problem they do very well with assisting. If you are wanting to transfer to a sister property out will cost an arm and a leg because nothing transfers. It costs more than just waiting for your lease to be up.
I have lived here for 1 1/2 yrs. very good office manager and asst mgr and sales. Also maintenance is incredible. Four men who fix whatever your problem. My mom and dad are here and myself and my wife. Beautiful grounds and it is close to shopping and lots of great restaurants
