Greer, South Carolina is a convenient small town less than 20 minutes from Greenville. Apalachee Lake, streaming into South Tyger River, and Lake Robinson are located in Greer, giving residents wonderful water views. Greer Golf and Country Club on Gap Creek Road has views of Apalachee Lake and South Tyger River with memberships available to the public. Greer City Park in downtown stretches across 12 acres and offers a little oasis for the community. If you’re interested in learning more about the history of Greer, a visit to the Greer Heritage Museum downtown is a must.
A variety of restaurants and bars are conveniently located in the downtown area, such as the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, a vibrant brewery serving upscale pub food. Residents enjoy being in the same city as the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport for easier travel. A lively tourist attraction in the area is the BMW Zentrum Museum.

Property Ratings at Berkshire Place Apartments
I’ve lived here for a little over two years now, and what started out as a peaceful, quiet, neighborly community, has turned into a complete joke under Eskay Management. Rules are not enforced or followed. Bugs everywhere no matter how clean your apartment is. Big dogs that owners won’t keep on a leash. No parking! Forget having a parking space if you work 3rd shift or come home late. Noisy kids/people running around the lobby after quiet hours, and no parents/guardians in sight. Constant weed smell. No amenities. I can hear everything my neighbor above me is doing and it literally sounds like they are going to come through the ceiling at any moment. No way to reach corporate office, and you’re lucky if you can even get a response from the “on site” manager who is actually rarely onsite at all. Rent continues to go up at every renewal, and although these apartments are the least inexpensive in the area, they still aren’t worth the price considering everything I’ve mentioned. I’d recommend anywhere but here.
