Directly east of downtown, East Raleigh sits near Interstate 440 and is home to hospitals, country clubs, neighborhood parks, grocery stores, and public schools. East Raleigh is a more affordable sector of the city, boasting a family-friendly atmosphere and apartments, houses, and townhomes for rent. Enloe High School, Raleigh Country Club, and WakeMed Raleigh Campus can be found in town, but most of the neighborhood is made up of residential streets with a rural vibe. Residents appreciate the proximity East Raleigh offers to downtown, making it a great option for families, commuters, and renters looking for more affordable rental rates.

Property Ratings at Berkshire Park
I loved my apartment it was very nice but there’s no parking at night and the staff is a little rude at times and they literally evicted me for being $20 dollars behind on rent I thought that was very harsh and heartless but I understand they have a business to run
I've met a lot of awesome people here, and I'm grateful for that. But I hate it was under these circumstances. There are so many parents here who care nothing about what their 11 to 16 yr old kids do that it's all offset. They cuss, yell, touch each other, fight, and leave their garbage around that nobody ever picks up. I've literally sat in the car with my 7 year old for 45 minutes waiting for the office to come dispurse these terrible kids, half of which don't even live here. And to echo the other comments, the security officer is a total joke. One time I almost called the security officer about the language and volume, only to realize that the security officer is one of the ones contributing to the problem. The problem people must be his friend, because he'll just ignore your phone call before making the situation worse. On top of it, I was told today, when I asked about who cleaned up after these kids, that "well hopefully their parents come get it." This was from the head of maintenance This is a man who likes to yell at small children about wrist bands in the pool, yet doesn't have the balls to say anything to the nonresidents who hop the fence. Big man, there. For future tenants, I'm writing this in August of 2018. The decent people here are all leaving. So if you're reading this in 2019, it's probably gotten much worse. Beware. PS - to give you insight into our fine security staff. After acknowledging that the kids putting hands down other kids pants, dropping f bombs and n bombs, while not being technically authorized to be there because they didn't have fobs or wristbands .. I was told I could get over it or move. Awesome job, dude. You've found your calling for sure
Berkshire Apartments have been nothing but amazing to me from the day that my family and I showed interest in living here. The staff are very pleasant and had no problems answering any of my questions. Berkshire is right in the middle of town close by to the restaurants and shopping areas. Very friendly neighborhood, lots of pet owners that clean up after their pets when walking. A nice size pool with lounge chairs to sit out and enjoy the summer weather. Berkshire Apartments is definitely a place I would recommend to my friends who are looking for a place to call their home.
These are great apartments in a great area. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating your needs. The grounds and facilities are kept clean and the maintenance staff is always helpful. The gym is 24//7 is rarely crowded and the pool area is relaxing. Centrally located near 140, 440, 540 and Highway 64. Ten minute drive to two major shopping malls. Pet Friendly with a dog park for your fury friends to play. Several spacious floor plans to choose from so I am sure you will find one that fits your own personal needs.
I have been living at Berkshire Park for a little over 6 months now, and I am very pleased with everything here! I'll start with the pros to living here: - The 3 bedroom with sunroom is very large! It doesn't feel like you live in an apartment. - I love the deep garden tub in the master bath, great for relaxing after a long day at work. - The amenities are unique and great. A movie theater available for rent? Never heard of that until I came to Berkshire. - The staff are the kind of people that you can stop and have a conversation with. I've never had an issue with them being rude or anything. They seem to really care about my concerns or problems as a resident and work very hard to solve any issues that may arise. -I've only had 1 issue where maintenance had to come to my apartment to fix. When they came to fix the microwave they were pleasant and kind. They talked with us and recommended some places that would be fun to take our son. Maintenance was fast as well, we didn't have to wait around for weeks to have issues solved. We waited about 2 hours before they were at our door. -The grounds are kept up very nicely. No garbage all over the place which is plus. - Very dog friendly which was such a relief. Most places in the Raleigh area are NOT pet friendly. Even if they are, they still act like it's a huge issue to have a dog. I never had this issue at Berkshire. They have dog treats at the office and the staff are so friendly towards your dogs. It's so nice that I don't get treated like dirt because I happen to have dogs. Now for the cons: -While the 3 bedroom sun room apartment is spacious, the layout is kind of weird. It makes the living room area rectangle shaped and if you have a sectional like we do, there is only one way to have your furniture. Getting a patio instead could solve this issue. - Parking can be a nightmare if you aren't home early enough. Since there are no restrictions on cars or where residents can park, you have to fight for a spot near your apartment if you come home later than 9pm on a weeknight or 12 pm on a weekend. You also have people parking their junk cars and trailers taking up spots which is annoying. All in all I love it here and think we made the right choice choosing to live here.
Berkshire Park is a great complex, The staff, maintenance crew are very friendly and helpful . The Apartments and are spacious and we'll maintained. The gym and pool are always clean and stocked with clean towels It also 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh and 2 miles from I-540 and 30 minutes from Raleigh Durham Airport which make it an ideal place to live.
Fabulously clean community, hidden off the main road. It has amenities for people of all ages, such as fitness center, movie theater, play ground. Pet friendly. Maintenance is super helpful, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Convenient to shopping and grocery stores. Great community, we've been here for 4 years.
