Property Ratings at BelleMeade Apartments
The apartments themselves are nice. But there’s an alarm panel in the fire alarm closet on the other side of one of my unit’s walls that is constantly beeping and it is audible throughout my entire unit. It beeps every ten seconds and drives me nuts. It’s been happening ever since I moved in 11 months ago and the complex’s management has never been able to give me an answer on when it’ll be resolved or why it’s happening. The apartment managers can temporarily silence it but it always comes back on a few hours later and beeps all night. Sometimes it goes off continuously for days at a time. Besides it being annoying, it makes you think there must be something seriously messed up with the complex’s alarm systems that it can’t even go a few hours without tripping the monitoring alarm. There’s one of these alarm panels in almost every building and they all go off, so multiple units are impacted by this. But the property management company doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to fix it. If you’re going to spend this much on an apartment, go somewhere where you can at least get some peace and quiet.
This is a phenomenal home. Beautiful apartments, super clean complex. Gated for safety. Top of the line everything in the gym and the pool is absolutely amazing. Neighbors are great and respectful,, big dog community. Great service in the winter with snow removal. Office staff is 5 star all the way!!!. I've also never waited more than 18 hours to have a maintenance request fulfilled. Its been amazing here.

I've been living at BelleMeade for over 7 months now. I am in love with my home and I will definitely be a long term resident here, which is something I've never been able to say about an apartment before. Michael is such a great manager, he is always available and great at communicating with everyone. There always seems to be someone new in the office helping (Jody, Kelsey, Nick, Erin), but they are just that, so helpful. Maintenance guys are so nice and trustworthy, they only hire the best. My apartment is beautiful and everything is brand new. I really love that I never hear my neighbors because the buildings are built well, and seem to be sound proof. Important work orders are done really quickly. The community is clean and quiet. Landscaping is getting better every day. I'm excited for construction to be done, only because the place will be even better than it already is!! The construction really isn't a nuisance like I thought it would be. We don't have amenities YET, but a sister property is just down the road that has a BEAUTIFUL gym and pool, so nobody can be unhappy about that. The community events are fun to attend and you get to meet your neighbors. You can try as hard as you want, but you WILL NOT find a better apartment anywhere in the Des Moines Metro!
