Property Ratings at Belle Hall
So much to say. I have been here for 3 years. I love my apartment its very large with tons of natural light. I am lucky to have normal nice neighbors. But! Pros - Location - Quiet unless you live near the highway which you can hear inside certain buildings - Pool -Safe aside from bike theft and rare car break ins -Walkable to grocery store and gym -Maintenance requests are met promptly -Garages available, not necessarily near your apartment though -Available parking, never an issue to be close to the building Cons - I wouldnt call them luxury, I have seen the renovated ones too. - Most apartments are very small, even the 2 bedrooms are small in my opinion -Their "gym" is a large closet - They charge for an amenity fob -If an amenity is down/closed you dont get any refunds - The pool was closed all spring for sudden repairs and almost all July -I have had some really terrible service from the company, poor communication, rude over the years -Difficult to call the office or get anyone on the phone -No bike racks and they will never get them for you (my bike was stolen and they never got back to me. Their solution was buy a garage or haul it up 2 flights of stairs to my apartment) -Dog park is disgusting and never maintained, also very small -The grills hardly work at the pool typically only 1 out of 4 does -IF YOU BREAK THE LEASE! - YOU ARE ON THE HOOK FOR THE APARTMENT UNTIL THEY FILL IT. This is contrary to other leases Ive ever signed. -ROACH PROBLEM!!! I've tried everything, just found another huge one this morning!! I know they are renovating the apartments and actually kicking people out, I'm telling you as a current resident those "new" apartments are NOT worth their asking price.

Don't be fooled by this place. Visit the property without someone from the leasing office and you'll see the real Belle Hall. You'll see how the landscape has not been taken care of for 2 years. You'll see the countless piles of dog poop along the pool and right outside of the breezeways. You'll see the piles of garbage pileup up around the trash compactor because the dumpster is changed out every other week. Then go in a unit and see the old appliances and spray painted counter tops, and 5 year old carpet. The refrigerator is at least 10 years old with paint peeling off and rusty shelving. This place is seriously outdated and in much need of some upgrades. It's a throw back in time compared to other Windward and Edgewater. Both of which have been upgraded and much nicer landscaping.
Trying to step among piles of dog poop, wondering if your AC is going to work, working your way up on stairs littered with trash. Imagine not being able to grill because the propane tanks are always empty or if you find you that works, the grills are so dirty you can't stomach cooking food on the grill. If the pool is open? Do you really want to step into it? I lost money, couldn't move away fast enough, no regrets for my expensive escape.
After living here for several years, the prices have steadily gone up by $50-100/month per year while the service and quality of apartments and staff have plummeted. The current management and employees are rude and not personable and it can take weeks of constant inquiries to get important maintenance work done. Expect your air filter to never get changed unless you ask about it, HVAC work to be put off until a month past when you needed it, roaches (palmetto bugs) and other insects to the point where you need to buy and spray pesticides yourself, and for the outside areas to fall into disrepair because they aren't maintained or pressure washed often. 5-6 years ago, I was really happy here, but everything has changed for the worse in that time. I would not recommend living here unless your housing was being temporarily paid by your employer. You can find cheaper and newer apartments for less that have modern appliances and fixtures for less in Mount Pleasant.
