The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Bay Ridge at Nashua Apartments
Place has hidden fees on top of rent. Usually, in most places, sewage, trash removal, pest control etc. is covered in the rent…it is not here. These are added in fees and I don’t mean heat, electric and cable, or pet fees…those are obvious utilities/fees to add on. But sewage and pest control? The rent is super high for a small space with no noise control, you can hear everything in other apartments. The dog park is awful, other tenants let their friends bring dogs and the management does nothing about it. Landscaping is awful, if you live on the first floor they blow the leaves onto it in the fall instead of picking them up. And they raise the rent a substantial amount when your lease is up, on top of the fees.
Poor construction. Damaged floors and ceilings. Loud and unreliable HVAC systems. Poor insulation between units. Maintenance is understaffed and can take weeks to respond to service requests. They often mark requests complete and don’t completely fix the issue. It is difficult to get into contact with them. I’ve had maintenance emergencies (no AC in summer, no heat in winter) go unanswered. Bad floor plans. Small kitchens and bathrooms. Poor lighting. Most units were built in the 1980’s. A couple buildings were renovated a few years ago after a fire. Most pictures they post online are of those newer buildings, even though they only account for a fraction of the total units in the complex. Grounds are generally good. Good grills. Decent gym. Volleyball and tennis courts. The tennis courts are pretty cracked and overrun with children.

Hello. Thank you for sharing your experience at Bay Ridge at Nashua. We appreciate the feedback you have provided. We will need to identify which apartment you are referring to as having damaged floors and ceilings. Our last large redevelopment of Bay Ridge was in 2018 and flooring, kitchens and baths were redeveloped. Our maintenance team works very hard to complete most service requests within 24 to 48 hours. The only time a service could take weeks is if a part needed to be ordered and it was on back order. Our Service team was short staffed for a bit and we extended our apologies if there was more of a delay than normal. We have now hired another technician and we feel confident our turn around time will improve. Emails have been sent to residents regarding children playing on the tennis courts. We stress tennis should be the only activity on the courts and it is not a playground. We would like to address your experience at Bay Ridge more directly but we will need your contact information. Please reach out to ICanHelp@AirCommunities.com. We look forward to hearing from you. -Susan
The floors somehow have less than zero insulation. Every footstep echoes through the ceiling, it's like living inside a drum. Do not under any circumstance move here into a unit that isn't on the top floor.

Would leave negative stars but it won’t let me. Place is built extremely cheap. Floors a paper thin . People below us knocked on our door daily for noise complaints called the cops numerous times. Verbally threatened us for walking around. We were quiet. Called the cops for unloading groceries making dinner cleaning to loud. Physically assaulted us. Cops were a little helpful but not much. The office did nothing. They didn’t care. It was the awful. Meanwhile we had to listen to our neighbors upstairs walk around but we didn’t care it’s a cheap apartment complex. Neighbors smoked weed it’s all we smelled. The office did nothing and didn’t care. Extremely over priced office is useless. Everything brakes. A cheap coat of paint and they say it’s beautiful. This place is crap. Cops are there weekly for one reason or another. The gym smells like cat urine. The pool was always filthy. Again the office was rude and didn’t care. Don’t move here. You were warned.

There are very few positives about my apartment. First of all, I moved in to my apartment filled with long black dog hair (all over the floors, painted into the baseboards, window sills, and walls, in and on the kitchen cabinets, in and on the fridge and freezer, in the closets, etc.) While my apartment is "renovated," the building is old being built in 1984, the hallways smell terribly and haven’t been updated in decades. The deck above my patio looks rotten and is falling apart, and the walls and ceilings are incredibly thin. I can hear every move the folks upstairs make, the dog next door that barks all day long, and the baby next door that cries all throughout the day. I have popcorn ceilings and the floor in the bedroom is uneven and unlevel. Positives- It is very close to route 3 and lots of green areas around for the dog. I do also love the dog park, however, it is not kept up with during the winter. So, there are leaves, branches, dirt, and dog droppings all throughout the park which smells like urine most of the time. I reached out regarding this and apparently they only maintain/wash it in the summer. It was also a major headache getting the lease rent and fees correct as well as the portal to reflect the correct rent amount. It really shouldn't be such a hassle to sign a lease with correct information, have the correct amounts in the rent portal, and move into a clean hair- free apartment. A couple months after moving in my apartment, I found my place is infested with TERMITES. I am now doing everything I can to move out due to the unsanitary living conditions. A professional exterminator has yet to come help. Only maintenance has come by to spray what they had available. It’s as if nobody is realizing that this is an emergency infestation of termites. I went through unsanitary torture afraid to even step on my own floor due to the infestation. I cleaned hundreds of live termites throughout the day every few minutes, then mopped and sanitized 10x per day while working my full-time job. If it is not clear to you already, this is not a good place to live. I found out later this building was built in 1984, hence the many issues.
One month ago a neighbours vehicle was broken into via passenger window. This occured straight outside the unit i am renting. near my bedroom window, sliding glass door entryway and daughters bedroom window. Management never contacted me, a stay at home mother of a 3 year old toddler, about this. They still have not contacted me to let me know what safety precautions and measures they will take as this occurred on property grounds. I found out because the police officer investigating let me know. Less than 30 days later, I recieve an email sent to all Bay Ridge residences that inform us there was a disturbance at an apartment building (across from us) and someone is now in police custody. no further details was given. the email states that background checks are reviewed for every resident here. I guess that criminal must have slipped through. management is slow to respond to requests if they do at all. safety. number 1 concern for me. did management address this with me? no. So now I'm writing an honest and disheartened review. I am a resident who pays on time every time who has not had any responses regarding safety concerns here.
Absolutely incompetent management. Have brought issues up, been told they were fixed repeatedly, and yet nothing has ever been done. I've lived in nine different apartment complexes in the last ten years or so and this is by far the worst. You'd be better off finding a cardboard box to live out of.
