Well first, the area is excellent... They really do a great job here making sure they take care of their tenants' requests as well as keeping the property looking beautiful! I can’t even express how amazing the staff is at Bay Harbor. Melody is always so helpful even with my personal life!! But honestly, all the ladies are so fantastic! Any issue I’ve had, which have been a few, were address immediately and professionally. They have all become more like friends than anything else. Moving here from Wisconsin was a huge transition and they have made it so I feel right at home. I literally can’t say enough positive things about these ladies, because they always go above and beyond. I love their cheerful attitudes, and the positive vibes they give. When they say they will get something done, I never worry about it, it gets done. Thank you to all of them again so much!!!!??

My wife and I have lived at Bay Harbor for 13 years and have enjoyed this friendly community of courteous neighbors. The office staff and manager are friendly and quick to respond to any issues or concerns. Bay Harbor is a very quiet, peaceful community and is pet-friendly with a lovely pet play area, as well as a beautiful, well-lit walking path abound the pond. The landscaping and pool area is always maintained. The close location of so many stores, shops, and restaurants makes Bay Harbor an ideal place to call home.

Well after 3 months of living here we have had on going issues. One right after the other. First our garage door wouldn't open and we kept filling tickets out repeatedly and thier only fix was putting a piece of cardboard over the camera because of to much sunlight. This in turn cost me about 600-1000$ worth of work while they tried to fix this ( still having issues with the garage door) secondly everything is falling apart in our apartment we have had nothing but issues with just about everything to the point that I just fix it on my own because the maintenance crew is either over worked or just doesn't have the knowledge to fix the issues. After talking to other residents we aren't the only ones having these issues at all and it seems like all they do is put bandaids on stuff that really needs to be repaired. We moved in without looking at the apartment which was our fault we scrambled to find a place after our first one fell through and bay harbor really helped in that aspect Yolanda is awesome as well as everyone else in the front office. But beyond that I would recommend a 6 month lease if your trying to move to the area for work and find something that isn't in bad conditions as this place is. Unfortunately, we are stuck with a year lease but we definitely will not be renewing it and I can name about 6 other tenants that won't be either.

Bay Harbor has a very friendly feel, I know almost all of my neighbots and all of the staff. The staff is super friendly and very quick to respond with any questions or concners. The biggest thing for me being a single girl and moving here alone was to feel safe. I definitely have always felt safe here. Its a little pricey for somewhat outdated ameninities but the location is worth it. I would reccomend bay harbor for anyone relocating to Fort Myers or in the area wanting to find a GREAT location and safe place!

I really took my time and looked at a lot of places before choosing Bay Harbor. I'm retired so I spend a lot of time at home and even drove through the community at night to make sure it was a good fit! I've been settled in for a good couple months now and have 0 complaints. Belinda in the office helped me with the whole process and I couldn't be more appreciative. Neighbors are respectful and the neighborhood is so charming. GOOD CHOICE! ~

Office staff is not honest. When I lived there there were no maintenance for months, there were renters that were without air conditioning for a month in August, pool was not clean. There was a musky smell every time the air-conditioner ran. There was a fire in the apartment next to me. They left a huge dumpster in the parking lot in front of our apartment for a month for the cleanup that also became a trash dump to people. Trash was always piled all over outside the dumpster. The sink in the bathroom was so rusted and they wouldn’t fix it it was disgusting. When you move out they tell you they’ll contact you with the final bill but they don’t they won’t reply to emails. But then you’ll get a letter that it’s in collections and you’ve been dinged for stuff in the apartment they won’t explain.

Community looks run down, pool area dirty, bushes/trees over grown. Mold on buildings. Apartments not well maintained- dirty when moving in. Disappointed!

This place is amazing! Close to beaches, shopping, schools, work, medical facilities-whatever you need. The apartment complex is beautiful, well maintained. There's a pool, gym, walking paths, common area in the clubhouse, screened sitting areas. The apartments range from 1-3 bedrooms, some with a loft, some with a sliding door, all with reasonable rents for a gated community in a very good, safe area in Fort Myers. The complex is not old and appears to be built well. Each has a private entrance(no dark hallways with metal steps), the rooms are larger(than all of the other apts. I've seen in this area) with closet space and either carpeting or wood floors, you choose. Each apt. is professionially painted and cleaned. The fixtures, appliances and window blinds are new. I am impressed with the staff, maintaince and residents. It's definitely a luxury apt.
Good apartment complex. It's gated and stays gated throughout the day and night. Thin walls and ceilings, so try to get second floor housing. You'll regret not getting it like me. A family with young kids live above, sounds like elephant running around all day. Can even hear the screaming baby. On the upper end of apartments, a little pricey for college kids. But definitely a great complex. Love the private little neighborhood.
Bay Harbor is the best apartment experience I have ever had! Before moving here I visited just about every apartment complex in the area. There was no contest! The grounds here are spectacular with gorgeous landscape & a beautiful naturalized lake that is bordered by reeds, grasses and wildflowers. It has two fountains & a gazebo & attracts all sorts of wildlife, from water birds such as coots & green heron, to turtles & colorful fish. There is a lighted 1/2 mile walking path around the lake that I make use of on a daily basis. I have a full gym on the property that has all the equipment I need including elliptical, stationary bike, & treadmill, plus all the standard machines. I have a beautiful pool with carrara marble surround, hot tub, built in BBQs, additional covered area for lounging or socializing, a screened room where I like to sit & work on my computer when its raining, a sand volley ball / badmitton court, tennis courts & a an on-site car care area! All of this in a wooded setting that is smack dab in the middle of everything I need in Fort Myers & close to the beach! And because of the surrounding stone wall & additional entry way fountains, I never hear any traffic. The apartments themselves are built more like townhouses, all with individual entrances & an amazing design in which EVERY apartment is a corner unit. That means I have windows in every single room - even the kitchen! So it’s light, bright & airy! My unit has hardwood floors and multi-pane window grills & is totally quiet. My slider opens to a sweet little sitting area of flowering vines and hibiscus trees & backs up to the woods. I wake to the cooing of doves & fall asleep to the hooting of owls, roosting in the surrounding tall pines. I feel completely safe here. The gates are always maintained and I frequently walk the lighted paths late into the night. The staff is always immediately responsive to any request I make and the residents are all very friendly & mostly professional. My 2 dogs are welcome here as well & frequently play with other 4-footed residents. I even met my husband-to-be here! :-) Since I have lived here, I have given up the idea of buying or building, since I have looked at housing in the area that is NOT EVEN CLOSE to comparably designed or maintained & the association fees ALONE range from $300 to $600 a month! Not to mention the cost of the housing itself! Living here is like owning my own home in paradise where I don’t have to maintain the yard! LOVE IT!!

I moved from Tennessee to Fort Myers after I recieved a job offer. Out of all the houses, townhouses, condos, and apartments I looked at, Bay Harbor was the apartment complex I went with. This place is amazing. It has a great tennis court, pool, and gym area. Not only that, it is also a gated community that is close to downtown, the airport, golf courses, restaurants, and most importantly the beach. The staff was very helpful throughout my moving process and seem to always be willing to solve any issue I bring to their attention, which has been a great change. i have had no issues with the apartment, and I find the space and layout to be wonderully designed. Family and friends always compliment on how beautiful my apartment is, and I can get anywhere I need or want to go in less than 15 minutes. I could not express enough how happy I am with moving here. I also looked on sheriffleefl.org for the crime rate. Area is safe. If your looking to live close to the beach, have a gated community, a great apartment layout, and love close to restaurants amd grociery stores, choose this place. 5 out of 5 stars. Cable is through comcast and utilities are manageable. There are garages available for a little extra money, but its well worth it. Moving here from another state, I couldnt be more happier. Apartments are clean and spacious. High ceilings, washer/dryer in unit, ceiling fan in bedrooms and living room, new carpet throughout, huge windows for great light. My unit did not have a microwave but all other appliances were new and working. Complex is gated and pet friendly. Has a 1/2 mile exercise path that circles a lake, great for walking/running/biking. Gym in the clubhouse is small but has new machines and a good variety. Pool and hot tub are great. Has business center and space for entertaining in the clubhouse and outside, along with grills. Maintenance crew is amazing. Any work order I put in is resolved within 24 hours, with immediate emergency service available, if needed. Rent does not include water.
Bay Harbor Apts. reminds me of being at a resort with the beach, shops and restaurants a short distance away. The grounds are well maintained, the pool clean and crystal clear with a hot tub and barbecue area always available, the staff is excellent and accommodating and the residents are friendly. I feel as if I am on vacation, waking up to beautiful grounds and going to bed with a gorgeous lighted fountain. Each unit has its own entrance, the rooms are much larger than expected for an apt., the appliances, carpeting, blinds are new. I made the right decision living here and its a good life.

This community is in a great location. However, the units are way overpriced. The kitchen is the same in the one-bedroom as it is in the 3-bedroom + loft = NO SPACE. There is no microwave, which means the little counter space you have is now even more limited. No lanai. Otherwise, nice walking path around lake area. No playground for kids.
