Property Ratings at Bay Breeze Villas
My wife and I have recently renewed our lease at Bay Breeze apartments for a third year. The apartment complex has been a wonderful place to live. The main reason is because of the full-time staff they have on premise. The team has been friendly and quickly responds to questions or maintenance concerns. Hurricane Ian was devastating to the area and our apartment complex. Rachel and Tammy at Bay Breeze did an amazing job at restoring all essentials as quickly as possible. Under these extreme conditions, they were respectful and did everything they could to help to deal with the aftermath of the storm. They were remarkably quick at hiring outside contractors to remodel all the lower-level units to a higher standard. Where other apartment complexes are still recovering, Bay Breeze continues to elevate their property as a great place to live. We want to specially recognize that maintenance team as they work hard to ensure everything is working properly. They have recently replaced all our Air Conditioning Units, Garage Doors Openers and recently installed smart-home door locks and thermostats. They have been great to work with and I appreciate them keeping our building clean, safe, and working as intended. - Jim & Tracy

I rented this apartment sight unseen as I moved from quite far out of state and did much research before choosing Bay Breeze Villas. I have lived here for six weeks now and this is my honest review of our 1 br/1 bt. The area of Iona in Fort Myers is safe and quiet. It’s proximity to the beaches and the stores is fun and convenient. The community/ other renters, on property are mostly friendly and welcoming and the general environment is quiet and pleasant for the most part. The apartments are dated and need some care and updating, but not uncomfortable. The new plank floors that were put in prior to our move are very cheap and scuff easily. It is just my husband and I and we are not rough on these floors. Our cupboards have warped bottoms and shelves on the inside. The dishwasher cannot be easily opened as it’s too close to the stove. The tub is too narrow and the bathroom is too small. There is no light or ceiling fan in the bedroom which is annoying and rather bizarre. Nor is there one on the patio. There are switch’s for both as though there had been some before. The major cons of this apartment complex is the fact that it is not smoke free. People smoke in their apartments, their patios, and at the common spaces such as the pool and walking paths. My apartment smelled horrifically of stale cigarettes upon moving in. As someone with allergies and asthma, this was awful and has continued to be a problem. We purchased an ionizer and use it weekly to keep the smell at bay. We can never fully close our patio door or bedroom window as this will exacerbate the problem. As a side note, the pool is chlorinated which was surprising, as most places have updated to salt water these days. The office ladies are mostly pleasant, tho not overly friendly and the maintenance guys are friendly. I have been told by my neighbors the complex recently increased their rental prices by hundreds of dollars, though I cannot see how the value matches what most people now pay.
